Fantastic first stay at the Manor Hotel. Decor a little dated but spotlessly clean, super friendly. Amazing amount if different sports activities (free) & huge range if craft activities at minimal cost. We'll definitely be back

Great place with lots of activities for all ages and abilities to do. Lots of sport and arts and crafts and fun activities. The meals are nice too with 3 courses all included with the price. I would 100 percent recommend

It good comfortable three star accommodation. There is is so much to do that you don't spend much time in your room. A good place as a base for exploring Dartmoor. The staff are excellent. They work hard in the background, are very helpful and discreet. A special word for the gardener's and the people who maintain the site, the grounds are beautiful. Just such a pleasant place to keep coming back to.

We had a wonderful time here. We were staying in Family room (bunk beds, 1 single and 1 double bed), comfy beds with nice shower. All staff were excellent, very friendly. Food was great, English breakfast and different selection everyday for lunch and dinner. Not all activities were available as it was out of school holidays, but they still had many fun activities for the family (bowling, shooting, archery, curling, pool table, game room, tennis, adventure golf, hydro pool spa, crafts etc).

Basic single room but you don't away to sit in your room.! Staff were fantastic, the instructors made you feel comfortable all the while making sure all safty points were covered. Activities I took part in. Air rifle shooting, Air pistol shooting and Archery. All very enjoyable and safe for all levels of experience. Food was good quality and plenty of choice. Other things I enjoyed, free use of the snooker, pool and bar billiards tables, ten pin bowling and use of the indoor bowls rink. Fantastic venue, highly recommended.

Lots of crafts and the room was nice enough the bed was comfortable. Staff were nice. Not having much to be able to drink was a downside. There is squash at breakfast only. Water milk tea and coffee at other meals only. No orange juice just the watered down squash of apple or orange at breakfast. We did everything we wanted to do but pre booking all activities would be better as the paper system is stressful. Be there for 5pm when the next day is put up and hope the large groups don't get there first. It can be hard to get on some activities.

I've been going to The Manor for years, often with a group of 25+ others. This year there were just 3 of us (friends) for a 4 night stay. A brilliant time yet again. Accommodation is basic but very clean & functional. Single rooms can be VERY small but you don't really use them for anything other than sleeping after what was likely to have been a full on day.

Food is buffet style with breakfast, lunch & evening meal all included. Lots of choice for all meals and quality is always edible but not restaurant quality (at the holiday price it is more than acceptable). Sports are many and varied. We particularly enjoy archery (especially when the session is taken by John), pistol & rifle shooting, bowls, short tennis and snooker bowls.

Lots of other sports available. We don't do any of the crafting on offer but most people that do seem to report favourably. Evening entertainment is put on daily and reports say it's variable in quality. We do other things. Bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Staff are generally very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. There are rumours of some hefty price rises for 2023. I hope that they don't price themselves out of what is a fun but budget break.

We had a fantastic time here. Accommodation was comfortable and food was simple (allergy information was easy to find and I managed to navigate my way through finding appropriate choices), and there was just so much to choose from to do! Courts etc were incredible! I did many fitness activities and a craft activity. You can do as much or as little as you like. The view from the hotel was stunning and the staff were lovely. I would love to stay here again.
