Booked a family room. Amazing size. Lovely sized bathroom. Tea and coffee in the room, with biscuits and chocolate mints. Comfy beds and lovely duvets and pillows. Clean. Breakfast was lovely. Full English all round. Other options were available. There's also a continental breakfast served with juice, cereal, fruit and toast. The toaster was a bit temperamental and it did set off the smoke alarms when a gentleman was unsure on how it worked.
Friendly staff and nice and welcoming bar and reception area. We were visiting friends in the area and then heading to great yarmouth for the day so an ideal stop off location. 30 minute walk into the main village centre (with the kids). Right on the river front so a lovely view of the boats coming in. Not far from a few local attractions too.

Although our room needed a little bit of tlc this in no way affected the great 4 night stay we had.the location by the river was quiet and gave easy access to local attractions. But without doubt the highlights of the stay was the great service we received from all the staff, even though they were running short handed due to holiday commitment and then there was the terrific food cooked by Jack and all the kitchen staff.
Nothing was to much trouble for them, even if not on menu they always came up with the goods. Taking into account the great value for money, the terrific service and food, this was without doubt one of the best short breaks we have had for long time. All credit to Andy and his team and many thanks, we will definitely see you again soon John.

Stayed in room 1 which was fairly quiet as down the far end of the building. The road noise wasn't bad and it wasn't too bad with the whirring noise( from air con or similar downstairs) Outside the window were 3 bins and loads of oil plastic bottles and rubbish which could be covered quite easily. The room was functional but basic. The best thing was the bed. extremely comfortable and nice crisp bedding.
Breakfast was nice but instant coffee u can't get away with really. Putting out some caffitaires would be a good alternative. The hot tap to the sink didn't work at all. The shower and bath were fine. There was a tiny soap 1 loo roll only and no body wash or shampoo / condition in the room that was 90. The hotel looked pretty on the outside but we found a great pub locally for food. I would visit for a drink but probably not stay again. I'm sure the other rooms may vary quite a lot though.

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend (then hired a boat from the boatyard opposite) for one night. It was a lovely, unique place, surprisingly big inside! Room was exactly what you need and what you'd expect, nice clean bedsheets and a kettle with coffees, teas, biscuits & milk which was a nice touch. Our only gripes were that we never really knew where to go or what to do, it wasn't very clear where to go for breakfast and had to go into the kitchen to ask someone.
The only other negative was that there was a loud whirring noise at night, I think we were above the kitchen, personally I slept like a log but my partner didn't other than that it was really, really lovely. Really scenic and a pretty place, all staff we encountered were kind, friendly and smiley, the food was soo tasty, we had our evening meal and breakfast there and can't complain at all. All in all, a really lovely break away in a beautiful building, would come again - thank you!

Brilliant service and very good food. A nice place to eat. If your sailing or boating on the Norfolk Broads this is a nice sheltered place to moor up for the night and only about 100 metres from the Hotel but try to get moored up mid afternoon because it's a very popular place to be. It is also a dog friendly restaurant.
