Booked a table for Friday as was a tourist and ended up staying a lot longer. Met Enrico the Italian waiter who was brilliant. We ate outside as the weather was too good to be inside. I had the seafood linguine which was fabulous. I have only had this on par with my favourite Italian restaurant in Cambridge, it was that good and the prices are very respectable for a 4 star hotel. Fabulous food great selection of local ales and ciders and that location by the river is to die for. If your in town, book a table to dine here. I'm ex trade myself, take it from me, you will not be disappointed. We will be going back.

We booked a table for lunch with friends and were not disappointed. We arrived early but a table was sorted for us straight away. Food was lovely, good size portions and hot. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back when we are in the area in a few weeks. Great location and atmosphere too.

This review is only for lunch. Came here for lunch and some drinks. Good service at the bar. Food came out quickly after ordering. We pretty much all had the same thing, the brie and cranberry panini with chips. It was all very tasty. Couldn't fault it really. If I'm in the area again I would come back again for food :

We went to stay at their sister hotel and got moved here. Rooms were great. Breakfasts great and everything made fresh so not quick but worth the wait. Dinner was fantastic my Father in law said the Burger was fantastic with huge pieces of Bacon, massive amounts of pulled Pork. So big it was a struggle to finish it. Seafood. Linguine was massive and full of Prawns. Gluten free Thai noodles were also brilliant. Pizza massive as well.
Room had a dog bed and snacks left for our Daisy which were topped up daily. Staff fantastic who more than made up for the mess when arriving. Don't be fooled by the older looking oitside it is great inside if slightly darkening reception.

The Room was really good. Well presented and comfy. The price for one night and breakfast was 80 which is just fabulous. I did have a grip about the bath and shower however it was quickly resolved. Hence the four rating. The bar has great, wonderful views of the broads and is heated with an open fire which is a great way to wind down. The restaurant service was on point.
Good pricing, well presented and the host was brilliant. Cons. The carpark is small and difficult to locate. The property is aging but they have done a great job bringing it up to date. I will be going again.

Absolutely outstanding food and service! Italian waiter is brilliant. One of the best around. Been here a few times and the food is always mouth watering. They also sell Peroni which is an extra bonus. If I had to find anything negative to say it would be that what appeared to be the owners had their dog on the Furniture drinking out of their glass.

Honest David's reviews We loved it here, the staff were amazing from the minute we got here, all friendly and helpful. We picked this hotel as it was dog friendly. Little did we know how friendly. Our little dog had her own bed, fresh bowls and snacks and even a welcome card for her. Our room was bright and comfortable and had loads of hit drinks and a kettle.
On suite was clean and tidy. The hotel had parking for loads of cars and it sits right on the riverside so you can eat or drink and watch the boats go by. Even in the later evening when it was getting a little colder the staff were happy with us to get the knitted blankets out if our room to wrap around ourselves. And if course our doggy. The manageress had loads of time to talk to us before bed time and we told her how pleased we were. Lovely breakfast outside in the morning. This is a very nice friendly hotel/pub and gets a well earned 5***** from me. Well done and thank you. See you again soon.

I was treated to a birthday afternoon tea here and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service really friendly. They were more than happy to refill the teapots and catered very well to dietary requirements. The weather outside might have been miserable, but inside the environment was warm and friendly. I'll definitely go back!

The review is not for staying at the hotel it is for the excellent high tea we picked up today. The sandwiches were excellent as were the delicious cakes. The sausage rolls were freshly baked were still warm and served along with onion relish absolutely delicious. It was a lovely high tea. Thank you very much.
