The Crown Spa Hotel

I booked a double comfort for one night. My room was smaller than I was expecting, and similar to a room at a premier Inn. Except three times more expensive. Compared to my friends room also a double comfort mine was missing a table and definitely not as good. I mentioned to reception, who did their best to make things better, they were unable to move me into another room.

However promised if I book again in future they would upgrade me. The Hotel itself was old yet well looked after with pool open early at 7am small but good enough to have a swim. The lounge was comfortable and chilled. The food I had ordered was not as requested as they hadn't any parmesan cheese. Parked down the road in a disc area. Let reception know and they supplied necessary item for the window The hotel is up on top of a hill near the beach and sea where their donkey rides and a small fun fare. If your old like me you might find the walk back to the hotel knackering!

Been before and enjoyed our stay enough to look forward to going again. However, really disappointed this time. We had a room with scaffolding for a view, no hot water. No hairdryer. Loose/broken hooks. The room was not pleasant to sit in, small and difficult to get round when you needed the bathroom at night. When we asked to eat there, they had no space, due to a large party. Felt like a poor two star. Won't go again.

Good location and cleanliness was good. Service was very poor from what seemed to be a very demotivated team. The wait for a room service hot sandwich was quoted at over two hours and the choice was very limited and items not available. We will not be returning. Four stay prices with a two star experience.

Room was spacious but not a sea view which was a shame. Toilet makes a constant noise so having to shut the door to quiet the noise so we can sleep. Bar staff on occasions go missing so you can be stood around for a while waiting. Good location and the spa is lovely. We paid 135 which feels a lot for the standard of the room.

Not impressed for 300 for a one night stay. The rooms are not up to standards and need a good clean. The hotel in general is just run down, everywhere you look it's just so worn and loppy! Looks like they are refurbishing the reception although, we was not told before our stay so wasn't impressed with the temporary reception and bar, also not impressed with the drilling on a Sunday morning. shocking how this has still manage to keep its 4 star rating. I won't be coming back.

Service: Abysmal Rooms: Being generous I will say poor 4 star pricing at less than 2 star quality. Checked out 12 minutes after checking in. Hotels like this give Scarborough a bad name. Went and stayed at Premier Inn North where you get better quality, value and service.

I would give it 5 stars if the rooms weren't so hot at night! We've stayed twice at different times of year (March and May) and both times it was boiling even with window open and ceiling fan on. The spa swimming pool, sauna, steam room and ice room are great though, and I love the bright breakfast room. Room service available for a select menu, or for a surcharge you can order off the full restaurant menu - a great treat!

Lovely hotel with a great wheelchair accessible room, with fantastic views over Scarborough. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant, excellent spa and gym. The only reason I have not given 5 stars was due to the wheelchair accessible toilet in the reception/restaurant area which had a dirty toilet and toilet brush which we had to ask staff to clean in 2 of our 3 days that we stayed. If they sort that problem out then it is a 5 out of 5

Amazing staff and amazing hospitality. After our wedding was postponed twice we chose the crown for our venue. We didn't want anything fancy and just wanted a nice room to eat in and somewhere nice to stay. The hotel staff couldn't be any more helpful and were fantastic, they made our weekend very special. The food was great and price was excellent. A huge special shout-out to Antonio for making sure it all ran smoothly and making sure we were always happy. Would highly highly recommend the crown for any wedding venue.

Lovely, spacious room. Spa treatment was really lovely and relaxing. Jacuzzi just about a miniature sized pool, great extra facilities. Loved using the sauna. Only criticism would be a free welcome drink was provided on my previous stay, but was told this time I had to have an advantage card for this. This wasn't explained this time, I thought this was a bit petty. Besides that, I have no other criticisms. The whole place is great and I highly recommend. I will definitely be back very soon.

I've stayed here several times with work and I love it. The rooms are pretty spacious with some of the rooms downright massive! The food is delicious and there is a wide range in the restaurant. Service is wonderful with all the staff being very friendly. I would absolutely stay here again, for work or pleasure.

Friendly and helpful hotel. I had a lovely room with a sea view. All very clean and smart. Breakfast service swift and dinner menu had a nice range.

Stayed there on business for 1 night, lovely clean room very tidy. High Ceilings, make sure you get a sea view as all other views are grim. Only issue is the rooms are too hot.

I had a lovely massage here, I would highly recommend it! I have also made use of the 4 week trial offer for the health club which includes use of the winning pool and gym, good value for money, shame it's not always that cheap though.
