Had a lovely stay at the Selomar Really clean, ample breakfast, they clearly spent a bit of money in recent years on the bathrooms and beds, comfortable and everything worked As we were driving up to Scarborough the owner called to say they were saving us a space outside which was really appreciated Thanks for a great stay

Excellent welcome. No problems getting car parked up. Very well appointed sea view ensuite room and very good breakfast. Well positioned for cliff-top walks and with in easy (5-10 mins) walking distance of restaurants and bars (although some of the bars are pretty tatty and 'real ale' an unknown unless you walk further into town. The Selamar is a little gem of a place.

A really warm welcome from our hosts on arrival, the rooms are clean and well presented as are the communal areas, when we visited they were following all the Covid 19 rules which made us feel safe and well looked after. The property is within walking distance of both North and South bays and the town centre and railway station, it's also very close to an excellent pub, the owners are happy to advise on anything you want to do and their knowledge of Scarborough is excellent. I would happily visit again (although they are really busy this summer) glad to have found this little gem.

We booked for 3 nights at the Selomar via booking.com, the price was really good for a 4 star B&B, although we couldn't get a seaview room over looking North Bay we were not disappointed. We were placed in room 10 which is on the 3rd floor (plenty of stairs!) and had a city view which also had a good view of South Bay. The room and ensuite were immaculate and they had good covid regs in place.
The owners met us were we turned up at 7.30pm and talked us through everything, masks need to be worn in the communal areas unless seated and there is hand sanitizer everywhere. Breakfast was served at 8.30 - 9.30am, plenty of choices of cold and hot options and the ladies serving us were very attentive, the cooked breakfast were delicious. The bed was so comfortable (actually better than my own!) and its was a really peaceful place. The central location is ideal and it's only a short walk to where ever you want to visit. Would definately return.

Really enjoyed our two night stay, the room was lovely and clean with a fantastic view of the north bay. Breakfast was really good and service was quick, theres also a bar room with a selection of drinks and an honesty tab for self service. A road parking permit is supplied for zone A2 and whilst congested, we were able to park close enough to the hotel. The owners were friendly and the chap guided me in my car through the permitted parking zones on the first night. We will definitely come back in the future!

Lovely place to stay. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Rooms spacious and well appointed. Trust bar in lounge good with some bottles of local ales available. Breakfast good and well cooked and presented. Close to town and right on sea front. Open air theatre about 15 minutes walk along the front. Parking can be an issue if no spaces available as on road parking comes free with your stay using a voucher in your windscreen provided by hotelier. Have no hesitation in coming back again. Thanks.
