Stanley House

This is an absolutely stunning venue with a decadent and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much for them. The venue is impeccably clean and the dining experience is second to none. They really give you 5 star service. A big shout out to Amber, Joe, Liv and Tom and Josh. They really go above and beyond to add a magic to your stay.

My mum got married here. It's an absolutely stunning venue and great hotel with an amazing spa. Definately worth a visit!

Bought the 2 hour spa and lunch package deal. Spa was lovely but did get a bit busy at times, some guests were taking photographs so it did get a bit awkward being in the back whilst trying to relax. Lunch was delicious when it arrived however there was a long 45 minute wait, meaning I had to walk down to the spa and delay my massage as I would've been left with 10 minutes for my meal. Booked a massage at the reception area at the start of the day but wasn't told it was a male who would be doing my massage.

As a woman this made me uncomfortable but I felt too awkward to tell him. At the time of booking if this was mentioned I probably wouldn't have gone ahead with the massage. Lovely friendly staff and a nice environment just a few little things that ruined it slightly:

Always amazing! The Spa is so relaxing- always super quiet and doesn't ever feel crowed I can't believe how spotless everything is, the fitting rooms/communal spa areas are cleaned within a blink of an eye- Great & friendly staff! Restaurant staff were also amazing, on the ball with great recommendations Thanks for a wonderful stay!

For the first time I decided to take one step back and treat myself and my sister to a relaxing get away to Stanley House Hotel, did I not expect it to be so wonderful. Not only was the stay itself an absolute delight but I can't even begin to explain how fantastic the service was! The lovely waitress Roshine who accommodated our dietary needs was absolutely superb and I couldn't thank her and the hotel enough. if you are ever doubting yourself to get away I would 100% recommend to come to Stanley house!

I attended a wedding here yesterday and the venue is stunning. There is ample parking, it is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The staff went above and beyond and catered for me to breastfeed my baby away from the wedding reception, even one member of staff helped me undo my dress after I realised I had no one to undo it for me. The food served at the wedding breakfast was excellent - the sticky toffee pudding was amazing! After visiting it's really made me want to visit again to use the spa facilities in the near future.

My boyfriend surprised me for Valentine's Day to spend a night in Woodlands at Stanley House. We was booked in to the spa and for treatments, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. A special thanks to Louie and staff for taking the time to go through all laundry to find my watch, which I left in a dressing gown robe. Staff overall in the hotel/restaurant and Spa were accommodating. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Stanley House, you will not be disappointed.

From the moment we arrived our 2 day stay was made to feel special. We stayed in the Manor House room 5 The room was beautiful overlooking the gardens. The room was made up beautiful by housekeeping. The staff were wonderful constantly looking after us. Couldn't praise the restaurant staff enough absolutely amazing. The spa is wonderful I loved the sauna overlooking the gardens.

The spa was immaculate the best I've seen so far definitely No1 in the North. Big shout out to Louis and the Turkish lady who did my facial and head massage (my apologies I've forgotten her name) She was amazing I'm definitely coming.back with my daughter's very soon. I've been to many a spa and this is definitely the best in North I'm From Liverpool so a hour up the road Perfect.! Thank you all at Stanley House

Booked for an overnight spa experience. The Spa was immaculate, all spa staff were welcoming and friendly. The thermal experience was explained to us and our treatment was lovely. Our room was in The Manor House it was spotless and had everything we needed. Food was great, came out within a reasonable time, hot and tasty. Breakfast was lovely too. All staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Really happy and would recommend!

Nice location with plenty of parking. Our room was clean but very hot, luckily we found a fan to cool us. Spa was well organised with friendly staff. Dinner was a bit of a saga, the poor waiter was rushed off his feet but nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him, Food tasted ok, we got the wrong side orders and then overcharged on our checkout bill, which was rectified. Breakfast was good. All customer facing staff seemed friendly and professional.

First impression the hotel was very clean & well presented. The room was lovely & clean with everything you needed for your stay. Staff was very friendly, food was lovely. The spa was really well worth it. Would recommend a stay at this hotel, will be coming back

Very clean and well presented premise, rooms very nice and modern. We booked in the spa and throughly enjoyed the experience, supported by very helpful staff. Our package included evening meal and breakfast, the evening meal was very tasty, although service was a little slow and a bit pricey for what was delivered. Breakfast was well organised with a wide variety of options catering for multiple preferences. Staff at all times very polite and accommodating.

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views and really nice staff. The food was excellent, however breakfast was a bit slow. The room we had was magnificent. We missed out on the Spa because it needs to be booked in advance. Would love to go again.

Fantastic hotel. Very clean throughout and immaculately appointed. Amazing thermal suite and wonderful masseuses. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

We came here for a friend's 30th birthday meal. Not only was the food great but the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely return here.

Nice hotel. Avoid the restaurant at all costs, no normal bacon, no french mustard and a sirloin so fatty I could not eat it. It is staggering that a posh restaurant like this has such a poor restaurant. Oh well I won't be back

I can't express my gratitude to this hotel for making my son's wedding so perfect. It is a stunning hotel, with luxurious rooms. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were impeccable and incredibly professional. I send a huge thank you to Joe, our main host, who is so dedicated to ensuring that guests feel special and happy that he made this a day to remember.

He is a huge credit to the hotel, and I've never experienced such outstanding customer service in any of the 5* hotels I've visited anywhere before. Thank you Stanley House for hosting this event!

Great spa day. Would give 5 stars if only 4 people booked in at once.there are 4 chairs in the main room of the spa but they can have 8 people in. Makes little sense to me. Managed by sitting in the water but would have enjoyed a comfortable chair. Otherwise brilliant!
