We love beer that much, we decided to open a brewery in our garden. We host numerous hand pulls for our home brewed beers from the 'Hanging Tree Brewery' which are constantly updated and showcased in our bar. We also have a strong passion for whisky so you can sample some of Scotlands best malts as well as a few rare gems collected through the years.

Pros: - warm atmosphere - free parking - casual clothing - TV to watch sporting events - indoor and outdoor seating - live music starting at 9:30pm - moderately priced food, amazing whiskey selection from all regions of Scotland - Scottish and local foods on menu - This is perfect to escape from the rain, especially if you're looking for a down to earth and easy vibe atmosphere Room for improvement: - falafel burger is very dry, a nice spread on it would be an easy fix! Tip: the peanut butter and chocolate lava cake was so WARM and comes with a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream! SO. GOOD.

We had just driven from Keswick and needed to find a good place to get a hearty dinner. We came across Benleva only a short distance from our hotel. Dinner starts at 5pm and even though we showed up early, they let us order. It was excellent. Clean, football on the TV, great selection of beer, excellent service and great menu selection. After a couple of Guinness and a very good meal, we were able to relax and enjoy our evening. Can't say enough about our bartender, would go back in an instant. The only thing I would do differently is stay at their hotel also, have a few more Guinness & shot some pool!

We didn't stay at the hotel and I'm hoping starting a new listing gets the restaurant some well earned business. We were recommended this place based on nepotism - someone in town said her daughter worked here. There were many places to choose from and I'm so happy we picked this one. Very busy place on a weekday night. The bar portion of the restaurant is simple and meant for a pint.
Through a door is the lounge, which is much quieter and meant for dining. Beer selection was good, and the menu was even better. The cottage pie (with the grilled cheese on top) was honestly, terrific. Friendly service, reasonably priced and just overall GOOD. Great option for dining in town.

The Benleva is hidden down the back in the village of Drumnadrochit. It's a cracking old building with a hanging tree in the grounds (legend has it that witches were hung from the branches of the great tree). I've never stayed but my parents have and they said the room and service was fantastic (it's the only place they stay in Drum now).
The pub is a traditional Highland pub and has won the CAMRA pub of the year on more than one occasion. They also serve dinner in the main bar on in the wee room just off the main lounge (I think they call it the restaurant but it's a bit wee for that). The food is good and reasonably priced. The beer is even better and if your a real ale fan then it's definetely worth a visit. The only negative thing is that the toilets are always freezing but enough beer in you and who cares!
