My wife and I were house hunting in this area and came across this very comfortable hotel for something to eat. It is misleading from outside, but once inside it is a different matter. Warm, friendly plenty of atmosphere with a good menu (Bar snacks as well) and some very acceptable wine. Jane, who looked after us, was particularly helpful and went out of her way to make our visit a memorable one.

Hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast included in the price which was good but I must say the evening meal was the best, we had classic prawn cocktail and steak, which was excellent - the best I've have had in a while. It was a shame the spa was not open and that is the only reason I knocked a star off. All in all a nice hotel.

The room was a good size and included a balcony which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The main reason for my 5/5 review is down to the great customer service of the staff, when I stayed here a week or 2 ago I stupidly managed to leave some clothes in my room. Luckily for me, the staff were very helpful and I was able to arrange my items to be sent by post. I am very thankful for this and I think this merits them an excellent review.
