Rowley Manor Hotel This fine Georgian grade II listed building built in the 17th century was the rectory to St Peters Church, Rowley. There is said to have been a church at the site since 1150 AD. Rev. Ezekiel Rodgers reputedly built the rectory in 1621. In 1638, the Rector, along with about twenty of his parishioners and their families, set sail for the Americas from Hull on board the 'John'.

They eventually set up the Settlement of Rowley in Massachusetts, U.S.A. Rowley Massachusetts is now a town of some size and the townsfolk celebrated their 350th anniversary in 1989.

We celebrated my mother's 90 birthday on Sunday with 20 friends for Sunday lunch. The food and service were excellent and of course the beautiful pastoral setting of Rowley Manor made it a very memorable occasion. A big Thank you to all the staff. Would highly recommend Rowley Manor.

Visited here for an evening meal with friends. Superb hospitality, excellent food served in a very leisurely manner with no pressure to vacate the table. A little off the beaten track but a gem when you find it.

Manor house itself is lovely but definately in need of some TLC. Mattress in bedroom way too worn out - my partner and I kept sliding and reaching each other in the middle throughout the night. Also, water pressure in shower is ridiculous. However, staff were lovely! And full English breakfast, delicious. Just needs a bit of updating and will be fab!

Nice room, good food BUT we weren't told when we booked with our Red Letter voucher, a gift from our children, that there would be a 40 supplement each night plus 20 service charge! Payment was processed before we had sight of the bill, told no refund allowed, very underhand. Dissatisfied customers, won't go again nor reccomend.

Loved the peace and quiet away from it all.it isn't a modern place if that's what you want, but if you just want to relax and unwind well worth the stay.food is excellent and Jack on reception/bar is very helpful and a lovely young man. We will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely old rectory now small hotel. Huge potential because of the beautiful building & grounds and it's manager. Investment in the building, menus and for its staff could create an even lovelier Yorkshire treasure. Comforting food, gentle atmosphere, wonderful home brew beer and wonderful staff.

I give it 3 star as the building internals need some TLC. Not surprising after the pandemic and the age of the place. I would, however, give it 5 stars for the staff especially the hard working and pleasant Jack, who we all agreed we should adopt. The food was great and well worth a mention. Bit confusing on the breakfast as you get a continental breakfast but if you want a cooked breakfast its extra and you still get the continental!

As a wedding venue it has all you would want and even has a lovely church adjacent with pleasant grounds. Well worth checking out and supporting in their attempt to recover from what has been a devastating period for hospitality.

Was our second visit after our first stay wasn't to great. So we got a complimentary one night stay with evening meal and breakfast in the morning. The hospitality and food is great, the rooms are nice a little outdated but that adds to the character. As it's a period building, and it would spoil the feel of your stay. Plus you get the added bonus of log/coal fires downstairs in the bar.

The Manor is lovely, but after our stay on 12th feb /sat 13th 2022 for a Birthday/Valentines treat, We were let down by its decor tired looking furniture and so very cold Our room had a bed throw on that was covered in dried stains looked like blood? The ceiling had collapsed at some point above the bed and it had been papered in a dreadful way but only half of the whole ceiling was papered.

Bathroom was so very cold, pillows are horrendous and mattress needs updating. On the plus the staff are wonderful and the food beautiful. Cooked breakfast was fab as i paid the higher room price draughty in our Double delux room The banging of the door below our room was terrible from 7am when i had hoped to sleep. I learned it was the dining room door constantly.banging We had room 6 with balcony We would return but only if they refurbish the decor and dust a bit better in rooms
