Services
There's a range of rooms to suit everybody and all have common design and decor, contemporary private facilities. Kids are welcome, and our family rooms are spacious and comfortable some with a family sized bathtub to wash off the sand. Parking is on-street and you keep the wardens at bay with your permit - supplied by us free of charge.
We have 32 bedrooms in the hotel, which are spread over three floors, the majority of which can accessed by lift. Please note some rooms are on half landings and do require the use of stairs. All of our rooms have been beautifully refurbished in a contemporary style, and are complete with private bathroom, the usual TV and in room beverage tray, complimentary quality toiletries, sumptuous beds, and contemporary furniture. Our rooms are categorised by aspect; Sea View, Inland View and Inland, with the usual King, Double, Twin and Single options.
Our well stocked bar offers a variety of local ales, in particular those from the Wold Top Brewery. Adjacent to the bar is our 'Little Lounge, ' a light, informal area with the most magnificent sea-views. This room is again ideal for a spot of lunch, however it is also available for private hire for small functions and parties.
Yorkshire is home to some of the finest golf courses in Britain. On our door step are Scarborough's North and South Cliff courses, the world famous Ganton, a venue for the Walker Cup, and the hidden gem of Filey Golf Club. With the Cleveland Way on our door step you can choose a gentle stroll along the cliff tops or a more energetic hike to either Filey or Robin Hood's Bay. A short drive in the car will take you to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with its miles of walking trails, bridle paths and cycle ways.

Our second stay at this hotel. Lovely room on 3rd floor (thankfully there is a lift), very comfortable bed & the room was nice & warm. The breakfast was very good. Only slight disappointment was the poor water pressure in the shower. However, it is an old building so one must make allowances for this sort of thing. It won't prevent us from returning!

Great location with amazing view if you get the sea view room. The king bed is very comfortable. It is very close to the cliff lit and the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was very nice. Eggs, ham and smoked salmon were high quality. I even saw the farm shop delivered eggs. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location with brilliant view if you get a high up sea facing room. Breakfast is exceptional and staff attentive and friendly. One star deducted due to en-suite which suffered from toilet being too close to wall and door (should have swapped place with basin) and water pressure very low in cramped walk-in shower. Other than that, very good and would stay in again.
