I have been stopping here for a few months now. We started in a room that was a decent size but then the kind landlord moved us to an even bigger room to suit our belongings and needs. We are still here. Both the landlord and landlady are both very kind and nothing is too much trouble. The bed is comfy, it is warm and so is the shower. The view from room 14 is so lovely and calming. We will be sad to leave when it is time to go. I would recommend this place.

I stayed September 2019 with my mother. The view was nice and breakfast was great. BUT. The bathroom was small and looked dirty. Two children (who I assume are the owners grandchildren?) were sitting on the steps and would not move after being asked nicely and then all night, we heard them running above us and them slamming door. We had hardly any sleep and we were travelling for hours the next day. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stayed here a number of times. Great value for money and epic location. Very friendly staff. Will be staying here everytime I come back to Morecambe. Food is fantastic too.

When we arrived, the Front Door was locked. The receptionist opened the door, after we rang the bell. He wanted to have the money for the room but I already payed with PayPal. He could not see that in his booking programm and I showed him my emails with the recipe. I was worried because, if you don't know how to see if somebody payed, then the hotel has no routine in being booked.

After that he showed us the elevator. The elevator was scary for us because there was no closed door. You could literally see the walls moving. When we arrived at our floor, we went on to our room. The hallway was totally dark and we felt like in a horror movie. After finding the light switch and the room, we opened the door and were shocked by seeing that the bathroom had carpet as underground.

No tiles. The carpet wasn't trustworthy. We refused to take off our shoes. Also the bathtub was fixed with duct tape. We saw stains of mold everywhere. After seeing everything we decided to check out immediately. The nice guy at the reception did not even ask what was wrong and just told us that he is going to keep 100% of the money. It looked like he is being used to people who check out before they go to sleep. I didn't care because I was happy to leave! I would love to sleep on the street in front of that hotel, instead of having a free night inside!

Stayed one night at Travelodge which was a lot cheaper and cleaner than here, complained to owner no curtain in bathroom, toilet seat broken, no batteries in tv remote, taps didn't work in sink and bed side lights didn't work, he just shrugged his shoulders and gave me some batteries he wasn't sure would work, I won't stay here again

This hotel has obviously been something special in years gone by. However, it is now very tired and a shadow of it's former glory. All the same it was good value for money despite needing a lot of money spending on it to get back to a good standard of accommodation.

I personally didn't liked the hotel at all. The lobby and the rooms were conjusted and were smelling. There was electric kettle and two coffee schacets but no cups, no milk. The spool was uncleaned. The wardrobe was just a show case. The drawers, side tables, all were just a show piece. Moving next to washroom, it was smelling bad, floor looked uncleaned.

There was no stopper in bath tub. Taps and flush were not functioning properly. On the top of that, when I asked water from the owner, they said that you can fill it from bathroom. Common, who fills drinking water from bathroom. Not at all suggested to anyone.

Bedroom door locks are rubbish if there was a fire it would take extra time to get out. Very dated needs new carpets badly and also a new boiler and bathroom in room 21

One of the best hotels in Morecambe Bay-right opposite the Promenade and with spectacular views of the bay. It's walking distance from all the local shops and cafes. What makes it stand out is the hospitality of the owner and his staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning to visit Morecambe Bay!
