Laura and Peter, very friendly. Excellent breakfast. The bedroom was very hot, this was quickly resolved when made Laura aware. Exceptional view from terrace, which unfortunately is in need of some maintenance. When we initially made reservation, there was an oppertunity to book an evening meal, received an update no longer available, which was a disappointment. Expensive for Bed and breakfast.

Had a great stay in the Seawood Hotel. The hotel is very 'boutique' with lots of little interesting features. The breakfasts were done to a really high standard and served with matching tea sets which was a nice touch. We stayed in a superior room which was very spacious and well equipped with a great view out to the bay. Possibly the best feature of the hotel is the terrace which looks out across the bay.
We spent every evening out there having a drink and it was a great way to unwind. The hotel has a path directly to the top station of the Cliff railway giving easy access to Lynton and Lynmouth via the railway (although it stops running at 6pm).

Mandy and Thomas were very welcoming and spirited hosts and set us on a lovely walk. We stayed in the Ragged Jack room, deciding to spend a lot more than we usually would for a bit of luxury but the room itself didn't feel very luxurious. This was surprising because the reviews online were so positive. The room did have a superking bed and a great view however.
It is a special setting high up and the birdsong was lovely. The owners are absent and unfortunately this shows in the general feel of the place. It feels a bit neglected and that corners have been cut by way of recent furnishings and tea / cosmetic products. We would have expected something a bit more special for 150 per night. A fridge in the room would be good. The area is expensive as a whole as it's a tourist hot-spot due to its spectacular scenery.

Beautiful views and large, clean, comfortable rooms with loads of added touches to make you feel at home. Tamas is an excellent chef and we decided to have dinner at the hotel almost everyday day due to his culinary skills. Despite being short-staffed, Mandy and Tamas made us feel at home and provided lots of local information. Being perched on the hill, near the Cliff Railway entrance, local cliff walks, and walking distance to both Lynton (great non-high street shops) and Lynmouth (great harbour views), made us really enjoy our time here. Not inexpensive but highly recommended!

The Seawood Boutique Hotel is outstanding in every single way. Martin, Kyle and team are the most attentive hosts ever and make you feel special, relaxed and at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms are gorgeous with great facilities including a full sky package. The food is superb. This place is definitely worth a visit; you won't be disappointed! They are even dog friendly!

Lovely hotel on top of the hill with breathtaking views! Small, but very warm, cosy and clean. Managers Kyle and Martin are very friendly, helpful and attentive to details, always ready to go the extra mile to accommodate their guests needs! Hotel is pet friendly, which means you don't have to leave your most trusted companion whilst you're away! Little things like special wipes and towels to clean mud off your pet after a nice walk - that is kind of service provided at this lovely place! Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

A warm, friendly reception. The staff were attentive and competent. A great location overlooking the Bristol Channel and, via the garden, right next to the top station of the Lynton Cliff Railway. There is off street, private parking which requires negotiating a tight U bend but it's not too difficult; a McLaren made it OK. Food in the restaurant was excellent albeit from a limited menu and you need to book before arrival or by 11am to be sure of a table. Book a room via their own web site for a discount.
