Longmead is one of Lynton's best kept secrets - a beautiful old house with a picturesque garden and ample car parking, quietly situated towards the spectacular 'Valley of Rocks' and dramatic coast path, yet only a couple of minutes walk from the village centre with its cliff railway, restaurants and pubs. A perfect example of an establishment where you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome and excellent value for money, Longmead has eight comfortable and attractively decorated bedrooms, each with its own charming character but all equipped to the highest standards including en-suite facilities, in addition to well appointed public rooms.

We have a selection of Single, Double, King, Twin & Super-King en-suite rooms to suit all accommodation needs. Our rooms are individually designed to promote that 'Home Away From Home' feeling, making sure your holiday in Lynton is one to remember. Our Premier Room has double aspect views overlooking the garden at the side of the house.
At Longmead House we are always pleased to see guests who are walking the South West Coast Path, the Two Moors Way or exploring other long walks through this magnificent area. We have developed a one-night package based on feedback from guests who are serious walkers. We know that after a day walking through Exmoor, for some a long soak in a hot bath is welcome to feel refreshed and relaxed. We also know that a good meal is also welcome especially if you can eat without needing to find a place to eat when you reach your destination.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any particular dietary requirements. Food is very important at Longmead House. Every guest can experience a hearty breakfast and a tasty Supper Platter is available, to order (at additional cost) for sustenance in the evening. Poached eggs with grilled bacon served on a lightly toasted English muffin with hollandaise sauce. Our tasty Supper Platters are popular with our guests who want to be certain of good food and drink in our Dining Room.
We know that some of you have great memories of your previous holidays and stays with us at Longmead. We have been thinking about how we can share these memories and stay connected whilst complying with the Stay Home message at the moment. We are excited to announce that you can now order the following items through by email or telephone us directly.
After a day of walking in Exmoor, exploring Lynmouth or sampling the delights of Lynton you may look forward to a great dinner. There are a number of charming restaurants in and around Lynton to choose from which will suit all tastes. The Oak Room and The Vanilla Pod are two of our favourite restaurants in Lynton.

Great place and great company. Mel and Neil make you welcome from the moment you walk in. Mel breakfasts are amazing and there's always more toast and tea. The house is just a few minutes walk from town to the right and the valley of the rocks to left. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. We will, most definitely, be returning

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, supplied with tea and homemade cake before being shown our room. Our room was very comfy, best sleep I have had in ages, and Mel's breakfast was. just what we needed to start the day. Both Nick and Mel were very helpful throughout our stay and recommended great places to visit in the area. We are already looking to when we can come back again.

Fantastic b and b very welcoming and lauren and henry are great. The breakfast is the best we have ever had fresh and piping hot. Home made bread and marmalade was gorgeous and fry up cooked to order and happy to substitute items. Room was spotless and bed extremely comfortable. Will happily recommend to everyone.

I booked two nights here when I was looking to spend a couple of days in Lynton and Lynmouth. I chose Longmead House due to the availability of a single room with en suite shower room, but the reviews were also consistently good, so that helped me to decide to stay here. I was very glad I did. Longmead House is in a nice location on the edge of. Lynton, just a few minutes walk into the town centre.
I was warmly greeted by Lauren and Henry. There is a large lounge for guests and my room was very comfortable. The breakfasts in the morning were great, lots of fruit salad and cereals to start followed by a good full English cooked to order by Henry. It was the perfect base for me whilst staying in Lynton, shame I only had two nights there, but if I ever go back to Lynton I shall certainly look at staying at Longmead House again.

We have just returned from the most lovely and comfortable stay at Longmead House B&B. From the moment we arrived with Lauren's warm inviting greeting to the day we had to say farewell it was a most enjoyable. experience. We loved our cozy nights sleep and Henry prepared the most delicious breakfasts each morning. It was as though we were visiting good friends. It could not have been any better. Perfect location, superb room, perfect hosts and we can't wait to return.

I can't recommend this fabulous guesthouse highly enough! What an amazing five days we've had as a family. The rooms are so clean and comfortable and we've never stayed anywhere that is as friendly and welcoming as this. Lauren and Henry are so welcoming and nothing is too much for them. We will definitely be returning!

We've just returned from a lovely holiday at longmead house B&B. Lovely and friendly hosts. Lauren and Henry made us feel very welcome. Our room was super. We can honestly say that the breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. Homemade bread and marmalade. Their house is right by the 'valley of rocks' which is stunning. Highly recommended and will certainly return here xx

Spent a wonderful week at Longmead house August 2015 I received a very warm welcome from Lauren and Henry. Nothing was too much trouble and very knowledgeable too. Breakfast first class all sourced from local produce, Henry's homemade bread the icing on the cake. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views from Lynton, Lynmouth, and the valley of rocks are amazing, all within walking distance.loved it so much I have booked again for 2016. Happy new year to Lauren and Henry
