The hotel is approximately a 15 minute steady walk to the South Bay sea front. We found the hotel very clean and tidy with a quiet relaxed atmosphere. We had a double room on the 2nd floor which had a shower. There were coffee/tea making facilities and a good sized tv. The room is compact and ideal for a long weekend stay. The breakfast was traditional English which was cooked well. There was also a choice of cereals and ham and cheeses. We stopped for new years eve and the hotel was ideal for our requirements. Overall a very nice hotel.

Would not stay again. The room itself we could not fault - it was surprisingly modern & most importantly clean. I liked the mirror in the bathroom & it lit up (could not use the bedroom one as it was blocked by the t.v) Tea - coffee- sugar etc & clean cups. The rest of the hotel & constant smell of grease (change your oil) was off putting. Very tight, limited parking & although the room was modern, the rest of the hotel needs desperate revamp to keep in line (guessing they are working on this to be fair) given the scaffolding.

We didn't find the staff welcoming or helpful when we pointed out that some of the stuff listed for a 'cooked breakfast' was missing off of the plate - it was cold & very greasy - had two bites & left the rest. Wasn't much choice of fresh fruit & the breakfast meats (curling up at the edges) & cheeses did not inspire me to try those as alternative.

The shower doesn't drain very well, thought it might have started spilling over the rim at one point it was that slow to drain. Luke warm water for the shower too. Would not recommend.

Rooms are clean but dated and space is rather limited, good size bathrooms, beds are close to comfortable and walls are paper thin. We didn't try the breakfasts but they seem reasonably priced, it's a short walk into the town centre if you prefer to eat on a budget with a good variety of cafes which serve all day breakfasts at around 4. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay, excellent location to be based for easy access to all areas of town. Would recommend for couples or small families. Overall, I can't grumble at 300 for 4 people for 4 nights.

Friendly and helpfull staff, nothing was to much trouble. Great location, only 10mins from the seafront. Amazing breakfast that kept up full until tea time! Clean quirky rooms and very comfortable beds. There is even a patio are to sit and enjoy the good weather. My father in law has walking difficulties and they were very accommadating and didnt make him feel that he needed to rush when coming into or leaving the bistro. I would highly recommend this hotel and I plan to return again when next in Scarborough.

We we're a family of 7 and a dog looking for a late night check in near the beach! Perfect, in fact far nicer than we anticipated from the website photos. There was ample room in the bedrooms and a lovely unexpected doggy pack! Comfortable clean beds and a lovely hearty breakfast. Very happy with our stay and what lovely helpful staff. It is a little dated but it's so close to the beach it was everything we all needed, so we didn't mind at all.no complaints here.

Extremely friendly staff, dogs are very welcome, they get a sausage for breakfast, and the human breakfast is well cooked and we'll proportioned. Rooms are well furnished, with a dog bed in each (there are old towels by the main entrance to dry your dog). The hotel is Christian, but it's never thrust at you, which is refreshing, as I'm an atheist. We've been back a few times, because it'd so welcoming. Within 5 mins of Scarborough beech. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, it's so human and dog friendly friendly

Nice clean room and friendly staff. Booked from 3rd party website and upon arrival was told no family rooms contrary to said site. However, we had travel cot and room was more than big enough to fit it in so wasn't an issue.

The room was ok very dissapointed with it stating FREE BREAKFAST then when I came to check out was told to pay 60 for it! Never had to pay for breakfast in any other places we have been to. No clean towels or bins emptied through our stay and had to keep asking for extra milk and tea bags and toilet rolls. Won't be staying there again only have given three stars as the staff were nice and friendly.
