The Queen's Arms a privately owned pub, restaurant and hotel dating back to the 18th century is very much part of this village, but also part of a wider community that embraces business-people, race-goers, families, party-givers and field-sports enthusiasts; anyone, in short, who needs a warm welcome, friendly service, an excellent meal and a good night's sleep.

Comfy rooms, tasty food, lovely garden and inside space. They have a really good selection of alcohol free gins! Lovely walks in the local area. Breakfast is delicious. I stayed in a Stables room, these are outside the main building and the one closest to the building gets kitchen noise in the early morning, I was up early so not a problem but maybe choose another room if you want to sleep in!.

Disappointing. We've been here multiple times and always enjoyed great food and atmosphere. However, in January we booked a table for Sunday lunch in March for a special birthday and requested a table in the garden room. We received an email confirmation stating they would ensure our table would be in the garden room. When we arrived on the Sunday in March our table was in the bar underneath the TV showing the Grand Prix.
We questioned this and were told that tables can't be guaranteed so it was either this or nothing. We then had four Sunday roasts with undercooked parsnips and carrots and beef that was chewy and almost impossible to cut with blunt cutlery. We paid the full bill including service charge as we didn't want to spoil a special day for the family. I did email the Queens Arms but have yet to receive a reply. Very disappointing Performance Queens Arms.

We stayed here a few months' ago in the lovely Wishing Well room as our friends were getting married nearby. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean, the comfiest bed and a stunning bathroom with amazing bath! Dinner and breakfast were top notch. We enjoyed our stay here so much, we returned for lunch with our friends last week (we live an hour away in the north Cotswolds).
The food is five star gastro pub quality. The staff are extremely friendly too and made us feel very welcome with a baby and a toddler in tow! We hope to make it a regular haunt!
