Gloucester House

Best B&B experience I've ever had - even beats the many 4 and 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Excellent customer service, perfectly located to fully enjoy all of Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast and the rooms are beautiful. Could not fault Gloucester House, from the welcome to the goodbye and everything in-between. Only downside was having to go home! Wanted to stay for longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Gloucester House. Our hosts Jonathan and Karen were lovely and very accommodating. The breakfasts (cooked by Karen) were delicious and set us up for the day. We enjoyed walking along the coast and visited some lovely restaurants. We would definitely recommend.

Absolutely lovely hosts and staff, most beautiful decor throughout, impeccably clean, amazing breakfast, superb location. Even got a free upgrade. Didn't feel this comfortable anywhere else on my whole coast path trip. Also the only place with half decent soft pillows, which are always a bit too hard for me in England.

Warm welcome from owners Jon & Karen. Modern and nice interior decoration. Spacious room with cozy and snug beddings. Home cook delicious breakfast with variety of choices. Friendly & cheerful staff. Convenient and free parking. Central location to the town centre. Great view of the beach.

The perfect BnB! Jonathan and Karen are wonderful hosts - warm, friendly and very helpful without being imposing. The room was better than many 5* rooms in large hotels I've stayed at. It was sparkling clean, spacious and the decor was very modern and tasteful. Great attention to detail, and a really high quality and varied breakfast offering. Highly highly recommend this place!

Love the place. I've spent one month in the UK, and this was my favorite place of all the hotels and B&B's on this trip, some of them being much more expensive. Great breakfast, finally with generous healthy options - not usual at all in the UK. Usually you get a piece of apple, just so they say they offer fruits :/ But Gloucester even offers Brazil nuts, something most hotels avoid because of their high price, and it shows the whole approach to their business.

It's much more than food cost percentage calculation for them. Hosts are very pleasant without being fake, and the whole value for money is great. But the best thing about it it's the atmosphere. Getting to that small balcony in the evening is something I will have to do again. (Also, Weymouth itself is a great little town. Much more charming than many more famous places on the coast. I would choose it any day over Brighton. Not to mention Bournemouth, there's nothing, don't go there)

I was made to feel very welcome and given lots of information about the area. The room was very comfortable and I was actually upgraded! Breakfast was fantastic and the staff on duty were very attentive. Compliments to the Chef. Thank you for being great hosts.

This bed and breakfast has cozy rooms each unique with its own character. The stay was pleasant, fantastic location, view each morning was amazing, and the breakfast each morning was superb. The host and staff were all friendly and so flexible to the early morning of my team or weird requirements for our receipts. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast for your stay!

Stayed here with a group of colleagues from America and it was amazing and absolutely beautiful. The host was extremely accommodating. He arranged to have hot breakfast for us earlier then they usual service as to accommodate us for having to leave for work so early. The exterior is kept up beautifully and noticeably more kept up then the other inns in the area.

The interior is warm and beautifully decorated. Sooooo clean! The security is a well added touch. I loved it. The carpet is thick so you hear absolutely no movement from others above you or down the stairs. I definitely would stay here again on a personal trip with my husband. I look forward to staying here again!

Very clean rooms, great choice of breakfast, loved the full English. Comfortable bed and pillows. Right by the sea and an easy place to get to restaurants and all around. So thank you Jonathan and Karen for being so kind and helpful, we had a wonderful time. Cake was nice too! Jenny and Marina hope to be back soon.

Had a lovely 3 night stay this week at Gloucester house. Perfect location on the seafront. What a beautiful place to stay. Immaculate! Our room was lovely, decor very nice. Lovely size bathroom. What a comfy bed! The lounge area was lovely, very tastefully decorated, perfect to chill and read a book or just look out to the beach. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Karen as she was cooking, all I can say is amazing breakfast with plenty of choice!

The staff were all so lovely and very helpful. Jonathan was the perfect host, nothing too much trouble and very helpful in recommending places to visit. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back and next time I'm stealing your dog

Staying in Gloucester House provided a comfortable, convenient and friendly base for walking different parts of the coastal path. Fabulous breakfasts, great rooms and lovely sitting space with home made cake!

I booked this (for me and my 9 yo daughter) on a recommendation from a friend who stays in Weymouth with work often and he said it was the number 1 place he would recommend staying (in fact it was the only place!). Location: 5 mins from Train Station (with bags) and 1 min from beach and shops. You are in the centre of everything. Exterior: Looks great.

A real cut above the usual. Excellent colour schemes and branding which lets you know you are in for a great better that usual experience Arrival: We were early but not an issue. Reason was the carpet was being cleaned. This was very impressive. A real warm welcome from the two owners Karen and Jonathan. Feel like we will stay in touch and be remembered when we visit again. Room: Immaculate.

Nothing left to chance and we did need to ask for anything. Bed: Super comfortable Bathroom: Immaculate and everything worked as it should COVID: Mask wearing by all staff and no room clean unless you needed / wanted it. Extra items available on request View: Try to get front of hotel if you can for a stellar view of the seafront. Breakfast: Generous continental breakfast and also hot breakfast from the menu.

Staff everywhere and anticipated what you needed and when brilliantly. All very proactive and polite. I had Eggs Benedict both mornings. They came with bacon (instead of ham) and were well seasoned, piping hot and a real surprise that they were so good in a local B&B. Well done Karen! I will be back. I was with my 9 year old daughter and she loved it too. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks again to Jonathan, Karen and the team!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, 10 of us girls rocked up, bit daunting at first for the owners but was made to feel very welcome, nothing to much trouble, hotel absolutely spotless clean, we all had a fantastic stay, can't wait to go back, thank you so much for making our weekend perfect, look forward to staying with you again

Five (5) of us stayed here for a Triathlon Training Camp weekend and we all loved staying here! The hotel had no issue storing and getting our bikes for us when we went for rides. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are large, the location is a stones throw from the beach. oh and the breakfast! very nice! We are staying here again for the Ironman Weymouth event and we are looking forward to returning! 10/10 would recommend staying here.

Lovely rooms and superb breakfast. Very welcoming host in Jonathan and very understanding when I broke something by accident! Right on the front and perfect for a short stay to enjoy Weymouth. Looking forward to my next visit.

Jonathan and Karen are lovely. The rooms are great and the breakfast is excellent and we'll worth the best breakfast award. Differed choices on the menu from the usual full English breakfast. It's a lovely B&B and well worth the stay.

There is nothing negative about this lovely hotel. The reception room and entrance are very in keeping with era of the hotel, a boutique style perfected. The rooms are great, bed and pillows comfy, my room had a seaview which was just great. Breakfast was first class cooked and presented beautifully with tasty ingredients and a massive selection to choose from.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hosts, Jonathan and Karen, were there to welcome me, nothing to much trouble for them Loved the binoculars! Tea tray filled to the brim with choice. The soap bar and shampoo are so different and very nice. No hesitation in recommending this delightful hotel.
