Pickhill village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and its ancient church features an architecturally rare archway. The two hundred year old Nag's Head is a direct descendant of the country coaching inn tradition and embodies all the attractions and values of its lineage - a warm bed for the weary traveller, genuine hospitality, traditional d'cor and a welcoming atmosphere.

My wife Karen and I had a 1 night stay. We came for evening racing at Thirsk. Price very reasonable. Staff were very kind and professional. The accommodation was spot on. We had a breakfast before we set off back home, full English freshly cooked. Set is both up for the journey back home. Hopefully we'll be back again.

Comfortable bed and pillows, everything you need in the room, a lot of thought has gone into making guests comfortable, tea, coffee as you would expect but it's the extras like, ear buds, disposable razor, Disposable toothbrushes even down to the toothpicks. The breakfast is very tasty and fresh coffee is lovely, very welcoming and friendly as someone that works away from home a lot, it really is lovely I would recommend the nags head to anyone
