Judges Hotel

I attended as a wedding suppliers but could not fail to be impressed by the staff and the facilities. We were so well looked after during the wedding. Thank you and I hope to return as a guest soon

Booked afternoon tea with friends, service was very good but food bore no resemblance to photographs on website, it was only ok and was very expensive. Simply not worth the money and I wouldn't recommend it. Very disappointed.

I was there for my nieces wedding Jenny Welch to Graham Johnson the whole day was outstanding. We were well looked after by staff members especially Alex who gave us 100% to ensure that everything went well and everybody was able to enjoy themselves which we all got. Thankyou to Alex! Job well done.

We didn't stay but had booked afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and the building is beautiful. That's where the positive ends. Tiny canteen cups and saucers, plates were the same absolutely nothing refined about it. We were offered tea or a drink from the bar, no choice of teas just breakfast tea made with bags! The absolute icing on the cake of disappointment was the food, dry sandwiches which clearly had been sitting for hours, scones that needed a hammer to get into and the cheese scone was a sweet one with cheese sprinkled on top! The whole platter was bland and not fresh. The staff were made aware of our disappointing experience but absolutely nothing in the way of an apology was forthcoming.

Attending a wedding and after ceremony photo shoot followed by the wedding dinner. Not my thing all togged up on a warm day trying to make conversation while not really comfortable which is why this turned into a 6 hour ordeal. Food and service was exceptional.quiet and secluded with nice views of local countryside.didnt stay over night although it was optional with a wedding party discount.

We attended for afternoon tea. It's was plentiful and delicious, everything was freshly made. The staff are very professional and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We stayed overnight after our son's wedding. The venue was beautiful, the rooms were excellent. The wedding was so well organised and all the staff were friendly and the day went off without an hitch. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a venue for such an event

We didn't go into the hotel except to buy a coffee. We had heard that there was a nice walk around the hotel for dogs. It was a lovely walk. Nice to take our dog somewhere different for a change.

Went for a couple of nights before Christmas. Really great friendly service and food. The grounds were good to walk around, I bet they are better in the summer.

Totally had our eye's out for our afternoon tea. Totally different price than told over the 120 for 4 people. Now we know why it was so quiet. The tea came with no side plates or cutlery. Had ask for.

Great bathroom, room is big, but no opening window so claustrophobic and warm. Needs some form of information booklet/laminate. Details of breakfast times, checkout etc. No bar menu offered so no idea of what is on offer. Food is OK, a bit bland and uninteresting for a small menu. Chicken ballatine was very cold, needed to be out of the fridge a little, tempura prawns had little coating.

Didn't like smoked mashed potatoes, personal choice but too much. Food is well cooked just not the standard expected. Breakfast was great. Staff very helpful. Just needs some oomph!

Great hotel and staff, well looked after on a night away. Good food, not hassled for drinks but always available when required. Will be going back

As usual we had a wonderful stay at judges. All of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable.

Absolutely wonderful. Great food, great value & lovely staff. Clean rooms with everything you need for a comfortable weekend & plenty of parking. Looking forward to returning.

My daughters wedding.venue for wedding, gazebo etc and reception were amazing. staff were great and so helpful. rooms outdated & old fashioned tho clean didn't feel as if it was if that makes sense.2 of bathroom complementary items had been used, 1 was empty! gravel outside hard to walk to other entrance. shoes ruined.a few people were annoyed about it. all in all was a fabulous day.

Nice grounds. Some really nice touches in the rooms. Good food and friendly hotel staff. Getting a little shabby around the edges for the price.

Came here as a couple for a friend's wedding. Fantastic day and the hotel did all they could to make the day work how they wanted it. Great space for wedding reception including a good size dance floor. Reasonably priced drinks and decent wines. Rooms were the perfect combination of rustic old country house and modern, clean facilities.

We had our wedding this week at Judges. The whole team were absolutely fantastic, from planning and organising (thank you Suzanne) to perfect, exceptional delivery (special thank you to Sam who was new to the team and so professional). Our day was unforgettable and we can't recommend Judges highly enough for their exceptional delivery.
