Top quality sea view room. Near all amenities and town centre. Excellent cooked breakfast. House keeping excellent. REALLY GOOD VALUE

A welcoming B&B, the rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you would expect for a well run B & B. The hosts were helpful with any aspect of the stay and the breakfast was wonderful. The parking is tight but we were able to get on the car park throughout our stay, there is a great backup plan if space isnt available. Just be mindful the bedrooms are over 3 floors if mobility is an issue. Its well placed on the north bay and about a 20 minute steady walk down to the harbour on the south bay.

Louise was a great host. Polite friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. Rooms extremely clean. Would recommend. And I will surely stay there again.

Loved staying here, great location, very nice owners who go out of their way to keep their guests happy. Who also do a very good breakfast.

Excellent modern clean sea view room with a spacious ensuite. Well organised staff.a great cooked breakfast. All at a good price.

We have come to Howdale for many years now and the service, cleanliness and food just gets better and better. Our room was spotless with an ensuite shower and toilet on the first floor. Our breakfast was delicious and you could have what you want which ranged from cereal, fruit, yoghurt and a cooked breakfast again however you want it. Howdale is in a wonderful position on the North side of Scarborough which is quieter than the South side. Louise is a wonderful lady who greets you with a smile when you arrive and serves the meal to you which is beautifully cooked by her husband Kevin who is an excellent cook.

The rooms were cleaned daily and topped up with hot chocolate sachets tea and coffee and sugars too as there is a small kettle so you can make yourself a hot drink in your room. Your bed is freshly made too. All in all i give the Howdale 10/10 i recommend anyone to visit there if you want a clean friendly boarding house with great food and situated in the North side. Thank you to Louisa and Kevin Coates My Grandma and Grandad Lynne And Danny, have been staying at Howdale hotel for long weekends for many years They had another fabulous weekend 6th to 9th September 2019. The rooms as so comfortable, the breakfast is fantastic, with loads of choices, freshly cooked to order. They had free WiFi. Hot drinks available in their room, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and lovely packs of biscuits.

They are a lovely couple, most welcoming and friendly. We would recommend Howdale Hotel to family, friends and anyone hoping for a short break or longer holiday We will definitely book again for next year

Louisa & Kevin's hospitality is second to none, the new Premium rooms are excellent, beautifully refurbished, spotlessly clean (always are) and the breakfast really does set you up for the day, delicious. Howdale is ideally located, within walking distance to many of Scarborough's attractions. Cannot recommend Howdale highly enough, wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The service received from Louisa & staff would not be out of place in a hotel that charges 5X more for accommodation. The rooms are kept spotless & the breakfast choices are tailored to suit your taste. The 4 rooms recently renovated are tastefully decorated & furnished with the additional advantage of a panoramic view of the north bay, enhanced by the use of the provided binoculars.

The only downside is that it is a 4 story hotel without a lift which could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems. I have no hesitation in recommending contacting the Howdale for a good holiday.
