The website makes it look like an upmarket hotel, and it was. Now it needs work, the holes in the roof need more than just a bucket under them! Had the penthouse suite, which is suitable for anyone less then 5 foot tall. The room was not cleaned at all during the 2 night stay. Breakfast varied drastically in quality. A little effort and a little work would make this place great again, it seems the staff have lost all motivation.

Brilliant 2 night stay. The room we had was very good. Clean tidy, fresh and sanitised. The food was excellent, very well presented, all staff were very nice (just as it says in most of the reviews i looked at.) The TV was a bit smaller than it could have been but that is the only slightly negative aspect. Very good value for money, I would recommend the place for those who don't want to stay in the city centre.

This was a birthday treat from my family. The room was nice as expected. We then went to the changing room which smelt like the drains were blocked. Then we went to the spa reception, as my family had booked treatments for me. The staff had recorded the incorrect treatments, for example I was to have a back massage followed by a pedicure. The manageress was very off hand with us and we were made to feel like it was our fault.
This was further compounded as she then said I was to have my massage first followed by a pedicure. This would mean I would have to come back later for polish so it would not get scuffed. I agreed to do this. So after breakfast at 9.15am I went back to the spa, they showed me to a waiting room and said a therapist would be with me shortly. Half an hour later when no body had turned up, I went back to the reception and was told that my treatment was to start at 10.
I was angry. So I went to check out only to find that they had also added the 'extra' treatment of 55 to my bill. This was refunded. I will not be going back and will not recommend this spa to anyone.

Afternoon tea and spa, excellent. The facilities were amazing and very clean. Theadies on reception were so friendly kind and attentive they couldn't do enough to help. We started over night for the New year's eve gals meal and disco, again brilliant. Staff friendly helpful nothing too much trouble. Will definitely do again.

Went for Christmas dinner and I can honestly say it was fantastic. It was the best Christmas day I've had. No stress, food was great as was the service. We didn't feel rushed to leave and felt relaxed. Spent 4 hours there which flew by. We will be going next year and hopefully the year after that. Great job guys and an especial thanks to Madelaine. Santa was a great touch too!
