That's why our priority is providing you with a welcoming, relaxing space to explore the South West - with unobtrusive support on hand for whatever you need. Our facilities are currently available only to resident guests, so you can simply relax, unwind and enjoy the many amazing experiences on the South Coast.
Spacious rooms with spa airjet massage baths (with shower over) and wonderful countryside or pool & woodland views. The beds are King, Superking or Twin, with space for a cot or foldaway bed for a child. Partial views towards the woodland and countryside (buildings in the foreground distract from the views compared to Spa rooms).
We are so lucky to live in a region with fresh produce in abundance and artisan producers of cheese, wine, beers, vodka and gins. Our menu makes great ingredients the priority and keeps dishes interesting with international flavours. Currently we're open only for residents of the hotel - which means when you book with us you have a safe, socially distanced table for the length of your stay.
Time passes so quickly, so spend it with those who matter, be that family or those close friends you consider family. Making use of a venue like Fernhill is ideal. Once the date is set, you can just sit and relax and allow us to make the rest happen for you. Breakfast each morning, activities, bespoke dinners, and a housekeeping service means your valuable time is spent making happy memories. From the moment the question is popped to the moment you say "I do", the organising of a wedding or civil ceremony can be all-consuming.

We really enjoyed our stay. Jo and Rob were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was a bit limited but I understand that was because of covid and staff shortages. The room was lovely and clean. There could do with being more drawer space, especially for those who were staying a bit longer. Also the bathroom was very small. That was just our room. I suspect that other rooms had larger bathrooms. Although I have mentioned a couple of things that could be improved we would definitely stay at Fernhill Hotel again.

Excellent. A short notice booking, fortunately nabbing the last room. Hotel has a comfortable, relaxed feel, mixing formal & informal styles. Room was spotless, well provided for & application of Covid rules applied efficiently. But most of all - staff. Hosts are the welcoming & well organised head of a very pleasant team - including their Chef providing a menu well beyond our expectations. We tasted the vast majority of dishes & not once did the standard skip a well honed beat! Definitely recommended.

Hotel is lovely, staff are super, location is great, free parking on site. We booked the Spa room which is very spacious and clean. Comfy bed with nice linen. Decor is a little tired. The bubble bath is fun but a bit small. Good shower. We would stay again but probably wouldn't worry about getting the spa room as felt it was a bit expensive for what it was.
