A haven of peace and comfort, somewhere to relax and recharge, or a base for exploration. The Expanse is all these and more. It is a hotel with a feel of its own, this may be partly dictated by its superb location, but mostly because it is still owned and managed by the same family that built it. Here friendly old world courtesy combine with modern facilities for a special break. Build Sandcastle's on the beach, Bridlington has two stunning beaches of gleaming golden sands, with a picturesque, bustling harbour in the middle.

Having been charged more than I expected, I insisted on seeing the room first, I was pleasantly surprised as well as a lovely sea view the room was clean with plenty of space even if it is on the 4th floor ( there is a lift) and it enhanced the view. Break fast was plentiful choice as was parking, well worth booking

Visted recently for 4 day break. Hotel its self is lovely. Receptionist KIMBERLEY is smart very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. But we did not experience this with the other Receptionist with long grey hair, very ignorant unfriendly and sarcastic. Definitely needs to go on a customer service course. Or maybe she needs to retire.
Restaurant staff very friendly and efficient. Evening Meals were not great as vegetables were aldente not to our taste! But Sundays roast was lovely. Don't think tea and coffee should be paid for at the end of dinner 2.50 is over the top. It should be included. Sweets were OK. Breakfast good selection of fruit juices and cereals. Yogurts. would visit again but feel more friendly front of house staff needed as it's not welcoming to see a miserable face who did not acknowledge us while waiting for our key!

We stayed here in February for my birthday, just a quick night away. Nice hotel, lovely food in the restaurant but we left my newly gifted necklace in the room that sadly wasn't handed in, we told them exactly where we left it but still no one had been decent enough to hand it in, short sharp emails back saying nothing handed in. Shame on the staff member that found it I say

The hotel is spotlessly clean and has lovely character features. The staff are all really friendly. Our room was really clean and pretty. The breakfast was great. The table staff are incredible.we ordered what we wanted and it came really fast. We had Afternoon treat as an extra special treat. We got sandwiches, a brownie, a scone with jam and cream, cake and a cup of tea. We felt so posh and it was really indulgent. We loved our stay and we want to go back again

Hi just spent two nights in the Burlington Suite the Suite was very good but on arrival the suite was very cold they had two small electric heaters on but no central heating on this came on at after 5 PM we complained when we went down for our evening meal and they said they would send the night Porter up which he did come up after 9PM and said that he had over ridded the heating so it was on all the time the bathroom was beautiful with a walk in shower but the room was large and the wall heater wasn't big enough to get the room warm for a shower it just became warm enough to have a shower on the day we came away.
Then to top it all we had Pidgeons which kept us awake most of the night on the window ledges. I liked the hotel very much but when you are paying 424.00 for the two nights half board you would expect the room to be looked after and the room warm on arrival.
