Our ten spacious en-suite bedrooms all have individual character and wonderful views. Traditional furnishings retain the country-house feel, but we've added levels of comfort and convenience inconceivable to the original Victorian occupants - for example, free Wi-Fi access, flat-screen televisions, and hairdryers.
Eating and drinking at Chirnside Hall is an experience to be savoured, whether you want a romantic dinner for two, or a night out with friends. We welcome non-residents in the restaurant, as well as residents. Game comes from our own estate, and we use meat, fish, seafood, fruit and vegetables from local farms and suppliers.
A perfect wedding needs a perfect setting - somewhere unique, where you won't feel part of a wedding 'production line'. Chirnside Hall is a magical location for an intimate and romantic wedding, where every aspect can be tailored to create the perfect day. We can host a reception for up to 40 people inside the house, or a bigger reception in a marquee in the grounds.

After a rather fractious day, we were looking for some respite and Chirnside was just what we needed. We stumbled across the Hotel after travelling from Scotland, and although the weather was not particularly good, the sight of the hotel and grounds was a relief. Our room was a four poster and the decor was as expected in keeping with the hall. COVID restrictions were in place, but not to the detriment of our stay. Food, service and location were all top marks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a special treat or break or just to enjoy the splendour of an exceptional Hotel.

Lovely place, food was good although I think 3 of us must have shared the last piece of venison. Service was awful, almost surly! When asking if the "Salmon with cafes berries" was smoked salmon we were told, "well of course it will be cooked somehow, it wouldn't be raw." Wines overpriced, prosecco in small bottles sweet but expensive. While eating we were asked if we would be having coffee afterwards, and replied, yes probably and that we would decide and order when we had finished. Waitress not happy! Chocolates served with coffee had the bloom of age on them. Overall not bad value bu a poor experience. Choose elsewhere.
