We recently had our Wedding event at Briars on Friday 6th May, we can't praise the venue or the staff enough. amazing first class service in every department, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Every aspect of our wedding from to start to finish including the planning with Karen was excellent. The food was fantastic, served hot and any dietary requirements were taken care of in the right manner.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was top class. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone for any kind of function as you will receive first class service in beautiful surroundings with attention paid to every detail in a nice friendly manner.

Had an absolute amazing time at my best friends wedding. Everything went perfectly, the staff was top class. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Very polite and attentive. Me and my wife stayed over and the room was spotless. The next day the breakfast didn't disappoint and service again was top class.

Sunday Lunch treat which was recommended by our neighbours. On arrival it has a nice big car park so no headache in trying to find a space. Maitre d welcomed us and we sat for a bar drink as our table was being prepared. We looked over the menus and the Sunday Lunch was a carvery, which I am not a fan of, but wanted to give it a try. Several choices of packages for the carvery which I thought was very good, small carvery (2 meats) as a charge or large carvery (4 meats) and then choices on 1, 2 or 3 courses with pricing retrospectively.
I went for the large carvery and 2 course plumping for the fresh Pea & Ham soup, whilst my wife went for the same starter but with the smaller carvery. Soup was delicious, thick fresh peas and chunks of lovely ham served with a hot roll and butter, it was really good, and both bowls were empty in quick time. Carvery, I had 2 slices Roast Beef, 1 slice Lamb and 1 Turkey, coupled with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, Broccoli, carrot and turnip, fresh Yorkshire Pudding and lovely gravy.
My wife had the Lamb and Turkey with same veg choices. Roast Beef & Turkey was really tasty, freshly carved from the joint although I thought the Lamb was a bit tough, but the veg and gravy topped off a very tasty Sunday Lunch in my opinion. Wife thought exactly the same, and we would have no hesitation in returning again in the near future. Other diners had huge plates of veg! so obviously well supported and really good flavours throughout.
Nothing was over cooked, and other than the lamb being a bit tough it was a perfect lunch. Service was excellent without being over powering, and the kitchens and serving areas were all spotless something I always look for in a good restaurant. Bar drinks were varied and I plumped for draught Poretti which is a really nice Italian Lager and my wife went for a Orange J20 (driving) service again excellent and well prepared and tasted lovely. Well Done Briars Hall.

Really nice place for lunch, service was excellent, good coffee, my son and I had the daily roast for 12.50 each which was a bit small considering the price, there was only 2 mouthfuls of lamb 3 tiny roast potatoes a spoonful of mash and a spoo6of carrot and turnip also the obligatory piece of broccoli and cauliflower, what we got was nice but I wasn't impressed, definitely wouldn't go there again

Stayed here for a wedding recently.standard rooms ok but the decor is looking tired. Bar area has a good buzz though and a good choice of drinks on offer. Function room through the back was ideal, and the team at Briars Hall did a fantastic job with the room decorations. If you're looking for a wedding venue then definitely one to consider. I have to say that from the cooked breakfast to the shin of beef lunch, the food was delicious! Would recommend.

We had our wedding here in October 2021; family and friends travelled from all over the UK and Italy. We booked out the hotel on the wedding night itself but also had 40+ staying the night before and 10+ the night after. The staff are fantastic, from arrival to departure nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are lovely. beautiful decor and spacious.
There are 2 family rooms however the hotel put additional temporary beds in several more rooms to accommodate our guests who were travelling with children. We had the choice of 2 bridal suites, both beautifully done, one more traditional the other more contemporary but equally good, both have spa baths. The food is excellent, we ate here a few times on the run up the the wedding and loved the food.
On the day itself with 95 guests we anticipated a possible drop in quality with so many dining but the excellent chefs and the kitchen staff exceeded our expectations, every meal was absolutely spot on, beautifully presented, piping hot and tasted amazing. All of our guests have without exception commented on the quality of the food, the friendliness & professionalism of the staff and the venue itself.
So many have said its the best wedding venue they have ever attended due to the attention to detail, quality of food and the willingness of staff. We can't thank Mark the manager, Karen the wedding coordinator, Steve our Master of Ceremonies, Jayne & Lauren on reception and every other member of the Briars team enough for giving us the most incredible day and the most memorable wedding experience. There aren't enough stars to rate Briars Hall. if you've never been or are considering holding your wedding here, do it. You won't be disappointed.

Where to start. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Me and my wife got married here recently and I can't recommend Briars Hall enough. The whole day went like clockwork. Food was amazing, the staff are very friendly (special mention to Steve, our MC for the day) and the rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys at Briars Hall and we'll definitely be returning soon. Thank you so much for everything. Paul & Jen Cooper
