Eversley village lies in the area straddling Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey; known locally as The Three Counties. It was the home of the Victorian writer and scholar the Reverend Charles Kingsley who in the nineteenth century wrote several childrens' books including The Water Babies and Westward Ho!
Tom Sweep is the young boy who in The Water Babies escapes his master, Mr Grimes, to find peace and enlightenment with the Water-babies he meets under the waves.
The Kingsley was built in the late 1800's for Charles' sister, Georgina Rose Kingsley. Her garden was a talking point in the neighbourhood - for its fine roses!
Located between the M4 and M3 motorways, The Kingsley at Eversley is an ideal base during your stay in the area. Peaceful yet convenient for Camberley, Farnborough, Aldershot, Reading, Basingstoke and Fleet. Heathrow airport is 30 minutes drive and trains from nearby Blackwater and Fleet connect with Gatwick, central London (Waterloo) and Southampton.

Very disappointing with the advert being misleading. We made the best of it but won't be returning. The room was a nice size, shower was awesome, hosts were friendly and welcoming. Waivered the cost for our dogs stay. The Golden Pot pub 200m away was very dog friendly. No chef so no onsite food except breakfast which was an extremely small portion, more like a 1/2 full English rather that a full!
There was no chef on the Friday or Saturday evening and the bar/dining room was shut so we had no choice but to go further a field to get something to eat and drink. The whole place felt deserted. The courtyard which could have been lovely was in need of a good spruce up, dying plants and mismatching furniture. There was no settee in our room even though it was shown in all the photo's and there was no outside furniture for our patio so we took 2 inside chairs outside to be able to use the outside space which was the main attraction on this beautiful Easter weekend. Dogs were not allowed in the bar/dining room. in that case, not so dog friendly. Owner had her washing out on the line which we had to sit and look at and their dog kept coming to our patio door and pestering our dog so we couldn't relax outside.

This is a great hotel to stay at. It was our first time away with our 2 dogs. They were very accommodating evening meal and breakfast served in our room at no extra cost. Our room was excellent very comfy bed. Tea and coffee making facilities. Access to garden which was handy in the morning. Park across the road. Would recommend this hotel.

I got here by mistake (happens when you have a corporate travel team, booking hotels for you). It's pretty far from most places of business, but if you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is the place for you! It's a small place, run out of a house, I think. The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.
My flight got delayed and it was midnight by the time I arrived, and being a small hotel, the manager most probably heads home early, but did wait up for me and did not comment about the delay at all. There are few things that need improvement like cobwebs in the room, but the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is good and coffee is served most of 5he time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kingsley. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was faultless and the breakfast included a lot of variety. We loved the central courtyard and the touches of Spanish culture around the hotel. We enjoyed our stay so much, we plan to revisit the hotel in the future. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
