Alma House B&B in Windsor is a Victorian period property dating from around 1890. The house has high ceilings and is fully modernised but retains many charming period features. Nigel and Georgia bought Alma House in 1998 and have ensured a constant program of upkeep and improvements to ensure that all guest comforts are catered for.
Together with our one-year-old son Jakob, we moved into the ground floor and started cooking breakfasts and taking bookings the very same day. The house had one double en suite and a double and single room which shared a huge bathroom on the top floor and on the ground floor there was a further family room which had to go upstairs to use the bathroom.
The house is centrally heated throughout. Rooms are cool in summer and warm in winter. The B&B hotel has rooms on the lower floor (down a few little steps) and the top floor (up a flight of stairs). If you have accessibility issues please mention this as we also have a garden cottage (annexe). Breakfast snacks and bottled water are provided for guests to help themselves to. For those that prefer a cooked breakfast rather than continental, a discount is available at a local cafe when you mention Alma House.
This large, executive double bedroom has high ceilings and a feeling of space. The room is on the top floor of the main house - up a flight of stairs and is perfect for business people and couples looking for a relaxing break. It has a firm memory-foam mattress and a large luxury padded headboard studded with crystals.
Room 4 has a King size bed with memory foam mattress and an adjoining single room with trundle bed (one single bed that pulls out under another) which is perfect for children. There is a TV in both bedrooms with Netflix on the master bedroom tv. There is an en-suite shower room, hanging space, full length mirror, hairdryer, clock radio and bedside lamps.

What a great choice we made by staying at Alma house. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. They have thought of all the little details and extra bits n pieces which goes a long way for a very comfortable stay. We helped ourselves to a continental breakfast from a beautiful well stocked kitchen. We even used this area for a takeaway. Just a 5 min walk to Windsor town with all the bars and restaurants Staff were very friendly Highly recommend and we will definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect for a self contained check in and stay. Didn't see anybody. very high quality and thoughtful furnishings and decor. Excellent walking location to all places of interest plus River Thames and swans. A truly lovely, self contained studio flat at the front of the building, with with small separate bedroom in addition to the main sleeping area. Perfect!

Super clean, cozy, welcoming. Located close to city center. I felt very safe here. The bed was comfortable and will be returning. The staff was also extremely helpful. they let me check in early, leave my bags with them, and then they took them to my room for me. They also answered my emails in a very timely manner. I really loved this place.

This was a fantastic surprise. We had the cottage in the back and it was a delight. Stocked with everything to make a light breakfast, lovely comfy beds with down comforters and pillows. Airy spacious room all updated, including the great shower. Good service and only 15 mins from heathrow. We will be back!

Great little place to stay during our stay. Staff was extremely helpful and helped with our practical issues. Brilliant idea to have breakfast pre stocked in fridge in room for next morning which makes you can enjoy it in your pyjama's! Apparently however this is not the case for all the rooms. Only issue we had is that the room we had was not that particularly large so some crawling over beds was required. However if asked would definitely return for another stay!
