Smart Aston Court Hotel

It is what it is! Fine for what I needed it for, which was really a bed to sleep in. Initial decor on entrance good, a little shabby behind closed doors. However, the staff were brilliant and for the price, I wasn't going to complain. The room I had, had the road outside so a bit noisy.

No evening meal available Biggest issue is the smell of mice and left hotel at 5am as had mice running around my room. Skipped breakfast just to be safe 0/10 overall Avoid as it needs pest control going in and extermination. I have told my company never book again. Noise also as facing main road and train st I spoke to staff who ignored in the morning

The Aston Court Hotel has been one of the most pleasurable hotels I've been into! The Staff were such wonderful people to be around and are always happy to assist if needed, The location is quite nice, near the Derbion (City Centre) and the Derby Train Station, so it'd be a pretty good stop of you're in Derby for a couple of days. And for all you people stressed up about a good wifi connection, fear not!

The Wi-Fi connection over in the rooms range around 40-60 Mbps, depending on where you put your device. However, with these upsides, there are a couple of downsides. The Beds and Pillows were mildly subpar, feeling a tiny bit comfy and the bathroom had a shower that didn't turn warm (which is probably just the one room I was in). But with the price of the hotel (which ranges around 40 to 70 quid), it's quite a deal! I'd definitely come here again when I come back to Derby!

This hotel was really nice with a pool table gated parking and very friendly staff. The only reason for the 4 starts for the rooms is that the shower did reduce to very low pressure once; I believe due to other guests using water at the same time being lots having a shower at the same time or flushing of toilets. The rest of the hotel experience was really good. A fantastic breakfast served with a smile .

It was very good and the place is exactly opposite of the train station and bus stop and taxi hire. The staff is very well educated. Service is perfect and the room was always clean.

2nd stay due to training course that I teach using one of the function rooms for 3 days, love this hotel friendly kind and caring staff who are just all amazing, feel safe cannot fault anything, great place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble the staff go above and beyond to help you, hotel is spotless lovely clean rooms nice beds too thankyou.

Great Location, and good service from the staff. Unfortunately, my room had a mice tho, I had to get my room changed in the middle of the night. Ended up not being able to sleep after I had changed room. I was able to get a full refund however.

We stay here every yr for an Army reunion. The staff are awesome and it has a bar, so whats not to love. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and clean and not overly expensive. The breakfast has improved a lot this yr and is plentiful

I visited the Hotel for a reunion, the staff were excellent and ensured that all the older guests were looked after with exceptional care, the staff in general were excellent and nothing too much bother. I found that the first room I had was just too high to get to, being afraid of heights but the reception soon adjusted this and moved my room to a more appropriate place.

On reading the current reviews from below I was near a taxi rank but could only hear this if I had the window open, and yes Derby was playing football at home and still nothing, I was surprised to hear that little infact found it really relaxing. Roll on next year I'm back, no debate but booked in already!

A bit tired, but clean and comfortable. Staff super friendly, beer very cheap. Super convenient for the station. I would be happy to return!

Rooms were very clean, staff were lovely especially Jenny. Breakfast had a great choice. Down side was the noise from outside as the room was above a taxi rank and opposite the station so it was noisy through the night. But would definitely stay there again.

We just had a couple of nights here. Rooms clean and comfortable. Reasonable rates with free parking, friendly and helpful reception. Full English breakfast served. Near Derby Station and city centre.

I've been here Many times. I booked a single room and had a lovely double bed. Thank you. Very clean too.

Pretty quiet when we were there. Outside seating if wanted and bar not too pricey. Didn't have breakfast as we had to leave early. Room was clean, plenty of towels and a fair price. Helpful staff

The staff were very attentive and did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I would say they needed to look at the ramps that were temporarily put down for me to get my chair into the room as they bent in several places after each use and I was worried that they'd buckle or break when I was using them. The cooked breakfast was also expensive considering that you only received 1 of everything

We have been 3 times to this hotel, 3 different rooms and all lovely. Staff are usually friendly. Great location and very fairly priced.

Excellent hotel and room. You will need to specify when booking if you have any mobility needs as there are multiple sets of stairs within the floors. The shower was excellent, the breakfast was superb quality and worth the price.
