Absolutely false advertising and marketing of this establishment! The A/C was broken in the first room they put us in, the carpet was filthy and stains were on the headboard of the bed. They tried putting us in a room with twin beds, mattresses reminded me of sitting on concrete. Then, they put us in another room(floor 7) didn't mention anything about a smoking room, we are both non-smokers.
No customer service, called for room service and they said we will give you a voucher for a pizza or we have ham sandwiches. No afternoon tea, or cocktails! Other guests were down in lobby area complaining, and the employees would say was our manager isn't in, you will need to speak to him. They also charged my credit card twice when we left. It took 5 calls to get it straightened out.
The general manager was very rude to me, and said I will give you a 5% discount the next time you visit. I wouldn't stay at the Bentley hotel in London again if they comped the entire stay. Stay away from this hotel!

This is NOT a 5* hotel. Rooms are lovley but outdated. Attention to detail is missing Reception is that of a 3* Breakfast is that of a 3* Room wasn't cleaned properly Manager didn't make an appearance when we complained the following day, (He stayed in his room for a phone call). Mind you, our ac broke at night and started blowing hot air, it was unbearable and we had to change rooms at 4 am, I'm pregnant so that was really not fun. For this price bracket u can most definitely get a better hotel.

We were rather disappointed with our pre-booked Champagne Afternoon Tea. We were unable to book a time of choice. When we arrived at our allocated time, the staff seemed unaware we were coming, we had to wait 15 - 20 minutes for our table to be set although several were available. Service was slow and whilst the food quality was good, I wouldn't say the portions offered were particularly good value for money. Whilst the decor was nice, the atmosphere was spoiled by a foreign lady being in loud conversation on her phone for almost the full duration of our meal.
When my friend (a disabled gentleman) and I were directed to the toilets on the floor above, a member of staff suggested we should use the lift, however he didn't accompany us, and we discovered the lift wouldn't move without a staff card, so had to struggle up the stairs anyway. Overall, rather disappointed PS. I didn't realise at the time, so am seething now I have.
There were 3 of us, but I'd actually paid for 2 x vouchers for 2 persons, which I gave to the waiter on arrival. Apart from the 4 glasses of champagne, we were only actually served afternoon tea ie, sandwiches, cakes and scones for 3 people! Argh!

Worst hotel ever! Honestly I understand why it is always empty. I booked a spa overnight break at the hotel, but due to potential Covid exposure I had to call last minute that I could not attend, and if I could re-arrange. I have since tried to rearrange, and they now state it is un-amenable. Stating I needed to have sent my medical report during the period, but it is now too late.
Therefore my money has gone to waste. Even worst is I had terrible customer service, while I was trying to arrange a day to attend the break, the spa team, was so rude and lacked accommodation and seemed irritated by my request for specific dates and times. I will never book this hotel again. Terrible customer service. Plus definitely not a 5 star hotel. POOR.

What a scam and waste of time! I've called to book in a spa session, been confirmed for the next day. Arrived to the hotel, after waited for almost an hour, I've been told no therapists are available and they really sorry. Offered a different day to rebook my session, but who would trust after all? I would expect a bit more of more responsibility and professionalism from a " luxury " 5* hotel.

Used to be a great hotel. Stayed here on the 30th December 2021. The hotel is beautiful but it is clearly no longer a 5 star hotel for service. Worst dinner service we have ever had anywhere. Some of the staff have had no training. Not their fault, the management need to sort this out. Think twice before booking.

Visited the Bentley hotel today for some afternoon tea. We was pleasantly greeted by the hotel Hosts and taken to our seating area. Naomi our host was excellent and very attentive throughout the afternoon and went out of her way to look after us. We enjoyed the sandwiches, scones and the selection of cakes, as well as the teas and coffee. Overall a great experience

Stuffy, musty, run down. Impossible for me to believe the reviews are real having stayed here. I cannot comment on the food as I wasn't about to try it seeing the condition of the room. We did receive breakfast with our room rate but did not use for reasons aforementioned. The lobby is nice. The furniture AND carpet in rooms, stained. The room walls, dirty. The bathroom tubs are worn. The staff, odd. Nothing about this hotel is legitimately 5 star if the reviewers are looking beyond box checking.

Me and my mum visited the Bentley on 07/03/18 for Champagne Afternoon tea with a virgin experience voucher. And wow what an amazing experience it was! We were booked in for 3pm but we arrived early so the afternoon tea staff let us start our experience early. The hotel decor is beautiful; the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was very delicious and well presented, and there is very good selection of teas. Also the champagne was lovely!! Overall the experience was beautiful and we will definitely be coming to the Bentley Hotel again the future!

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for two nights and was really disappointed. It's in a great location near Hyde Park, which is definitely a plus. They also have a small gym in the basement, which was quite handy. Other than that - everything else was a turnoff. Our room reeked of cigarette fumes as if twenty people had just lit up in there. Even the bathroom towels smelled dirty.
They evidently allow smoking in most of the rooms as every room we saw had a "smoking room" sign on the door. Luckily, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Also, while the lobby and staff were nice enough, the place had the atmosphere of a library with everyone talking in hushed tones. Every time we walked in it was as if a record had scratched. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Lovely evening ,the food was good and value for the money , the champagne was lovely ! I disagree with a few of the comments on here I been here a few times now and find it really good food good portions and value . I eat in London a lot in beautiful places and know my food and drink , I wouldn't say it's the best food in London but defo great value and enjoyable , Upholstery could do with a bit of TLC but apart from that beautiful . We will be back again

The hotel is fabulous staff are friendly and very helpful. When you pull up in a car the staff insist in helping you with luggage and bringing to your room. The beds are comfy and clean. There are odd signs of ware and tear on furniture but nothing that is obvious and sticks out. The breakfast is ok there could be a little more options but otherwise a very nice place to stay.

The WORST afternoon tea experience I have ever had. If i could give no stars, I would. The best advice I can give regarding The Bentley Hotel Afternoon Tea is just don't go. It is highly overpriced for what you get. The service was appalling. You could do almost anything else with your money, and it would be a better use than to wasting your time going to this afternoon tea.
After being seated, we were given champagne after 10 minutes. The food came out after 30 minutes. We were never served tea AT ALL. We sat there for a total of an hour and 15 minutes, and were never given any tea. The person who served us champagne, took our tea order, also took away the empty champagne glasses, but never served us tea. There's more, but the main point is don't go.

One of my favorite hotels of all time! I savored our English breakfast each morning. The room was so charming. The hot coffee or tea brought to us on beautiful silver trays. The croissants were the best I have ever had. Located on a beautiful and more residential street, our room overlooked a private garden. Everything was luxurious. A short walk to Harrod's, Hyde Park, and other attractions. I look forward to the day when I may return!

My wife and I stayed at The Bentley for my wife's birthday, for three nights. We had an amazing stay, and I would recommend this hotel to everyone (and really hope I will be able to stay there again soon). The hotel's decor, and its service, made us feel like royalty without charging us royal prices :-) The hotel and our room were very posh, with a marble bathroom (with both shower and bath!), gold plating, carpets, chandeliers (also one in our room!), and a lot of other beautiful details which made us feel like British royalty.
Our room, even though it is the hotel's smallest (a "queen size bed room"), was also surprisingly generous in size - it was a significantly bigger room than most other hotels offered us for the same price range. The location of the hotel is perfect: It not in the middle of the touristy area, so we could have some peace and quiet when we wanted, but it is still in the heart of London (the Kensington area) and 3 minute walk from the "Gloucester Road" tube station, were 3 separate lines join (the Piccadilly Line, the Circle Line and the District Line) - so everywhere in London was a convenient tube ride away, even the ride from Heathrow airport (on the Piccadilly line).
In addition to the tube, in a 3-minute walking radius from the hotel, on Gloucester Road, we found several shops (food, souvenirs, pharmacy) and several restaurants and cafes, which were very convenient for us. We did not try the Bentley's breakfast (we ate breakfast on Gloucestor Road cafes), but we did try their Afternoon Tea package on one day.
It was a real treat - tasty, romantic, filling, and decor and service which, again, made us feel like we're royalty or something :-) They even remembered that it was my wife's birthday (I just mentioned it in passing when ordering the package), and brought my wife a small birthday cake with a "happy birthday" message, which was a really nice surprise. The word "Amazing" came to our mind (and to our tongues) several times during our stay in the hotel, and during our Afternoon Tea event.

I went here for a proper afternoon tea on my last day in London. My friend and I got a great deal for a champagne afternoon tea through TimeOut London. We were quickly escorted to our seats and promptly served our champagne. Our server was very attentive throughout, not checking in too much, but always making sure we had everything we needed and taking away the empty serving dishes.
The sandwiches were good. I'm not a fan of fish so I couldn't eat most of what they offered. The scones were absolutely delicious though. They were served warm and were the perfect combination of firm on the outside and moist on the inside. By the time we made it to the pastries, we were completely full. However, we still made room for them.
The ones I managed to eat were very good. The only complaint I have is that the tea, while served hot, was served in teabags instead of lose leaf, like most other afternoon teas and cafes. Other than that, I would definitely recommend a visit.

The Bentley Hotel is one of my favorite places to stay in London. I have also held a couple of events at this hotel. What draws me to it is the beauty and splendor of every single corner - from the plush, carefully decorated suites that speak of a bygone era of glamour - to the intimate marble entrance that makes you feel as though you've stepped into a story.
I was happy with the service of both the hotel staff and the event managers who made the effort to ensure we were taken care of and tried to accommodate our special requests. The Bentley is also well situated for a new visitor to London and is part of the Hilton family for travelers who benefit from Hilton Honor points.

I like this place.but somehow the plumbing is always messed up. Last time I was here there was no water the morning before we checked out. This visit, the shoer only has scalding hot water, but the tub is fine. There is no one here this week. Apparently just me.haven't seen another soul. Management sent up chocolates and water -- very nice touch, and upgraded me. The room is serviced very well.haven;t eaten here. Will be back. Great location -- 1 1/2 blocks to tube station. Nice neighborhood.

It really helps if you're Hilton Gold when you stay here. My fiancee is, and we got a room upgrade and free internet for the entire stay. Sweet. Extra sweet because we were in London during the ALCS and my fiancee (bf at the beginning of the trip) is a rabid baseball fan, so we could watch via (free) streaming internet. Check, and check. The service is amazing. See, I'm American, right, and our notion of good service is you get it done, and you get it done fast.
The Bentley got whatever we needed done quickly (I have never seen towels arrive from housekeeping in 3 minutes) and did it with a smile. A light went out in the gargantuan marble shower stall while we were there, and it was fixed the next day (we did not call about it, it just got fixed). The location is really great for travelers because the hotel is 2 short blocks from the Gloucester Road tube station on the Picadilly line (read: direct service to Heathrow without paying the ridiculous Heathrow Express fares) and Circle and District lines (read: easy access to all parts of central London). There's a 24 hour Tesco express at the tube station (for everything you forgot and a snack a 2am), a Barclay's ATM (if you bank at Bank of America and want cash without fees), a Pret-a-Manger (for a delish sandwich to go), a real cafe / coffee shop at Caffe Forum (or Starbucks or Cafe Nero for devotees), and an inexpensive (but nice) neighborhood (small chain) restaurant at Wildwood. Oh, there's also a Nando's Peri Peri, if you like Nando's (too bland for me, but whatever floats your boat).

So stayed here for business for a few nights, and it was a reasonable price so I didn't get into trouble, but it does lack some modern conveniences that one grows to expect. It was a beautiful place and the staff was very attentive. Very regal, chandeliers, whirlpool tub, etc. But no wireless. They had a hard line that you could pay 15.99 pounds for 24 hours, and two computers in the lobby for use.
Not thrilled by that. And the gym was a couple of old treadmills, an ellipitcal and a set of weights in the lower level with the spa. Which again was very pretty, and I had a nice massage at. Thankfully it was nice out during my stay and I could go run outside and not in the dank cellar. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but the room service had okay food with speedy service. They definitely try hard to please, and if they had wireless I think I would stay there again.

London hotels are incredibly expensive, so to find a hotel of this quality at an affordable price was a real result for us. We used the online service splendia.com to book and got a great deal for our 5 day stay with them. The hotel itself is dripping in opulence, gold fixtures galore, antique furniture and enough Italian marble to pave a football field greet you in the foyer where the super polite staff are ready to greet you (the over the top look is not my style, but it makes you feel like a cheap movie star)!
It has a bar, spa, gym and restaurant for your use. The rooms are large by any standard a huge plus when staying for longer periods of time, no coffee making facilities or ironing board, but hey, at the price we paid I'm not gonna complain. Another big plus for me was the awesome breakfast that was included in the package price (served till 11.00 am), that alone saved us $40 a day in our budget.
Location wise it's far enough away from the crowds but close enough to the attractions and the West End, Gloucester Park tube (Victoria Line) is a short walk from the hotel and will whisk you to anywhere in London. I recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

It was my mums big birthday and me and my sister always take her out to a nice hotel for afternoon tea. I chose the Peridot at the Bentley because of a recommendation. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The Bentley is every bit a 5 star hotel. Peridot is the restaurant in the hotel. Apparently we read that all the pastries and cakes are created and prepared daily by Peridots Executive Pastry Chef to ensure freshness and attention to detail.
This was indeed obvious from the quality of the cakes and pastries. We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings which is full of natural light and there is a beautiful garden in the back. We could not have wished for a better choice. In many ways this was perhaps better than the Ritz were we took mum last year.
