We had stayed a few times with the previous earners but we were really pleased with the new owners. Great breakfast and they couldn't do enough for us. Looked after my wife' mobility scooter overnight and it was pleasant to sit and have a drink with them in their bar in the evening. Will book again for later this year.

A clean well presented B&B. Very welcoming with warm friendly owners that couldn't do enough to help you have a great holiday. The owners gave us great advice on good restaurants, places to visit in and around the area. Would definitely stay at the ivydene again great place full of laughter and fun.

This was not a family sized room its not even big enough for a couple. The shower and toilet were located in what seemed to be a wardrobe space and there was no hot water or water pressure in the shower, you were not able to wash properly. We payed for bed and breakfast but did not receive any breakfast or told anything about having to book for breakfast. Greeting was very bleak when we arrived and nothing was explained.
We stayed for two nights but were not given any clean towels on day two or topped up with any more tea or coffee. Parking is advertised with this however there was none when we arrived as there is only two spaces, we had to leave our car on a very busy road. This was very poor value for money, the only bonus would be the location and the room was clean.when we arrived.

Me my partner and my 3 year old son stayed for a weekend here. We arrived and on first glance it looked nice but that soon changed. My partner when in the to find where the spacious car park was but when asking the lady turned round and said rudely 'first who are you' to which wasn't acceptable so we said we had a booking to which her reply was 'use the road'.
Once showed to room which was nice, the male said 'here is the booklets read through and when decided come down'. The bed's was good size the bathroom if you wanted a shower your had to turn it on and let it heat up for around ten minutes. The breakfast on the first morning was nice full English tea/coffee cereal etc. Then came the Sunday morning breakfast my son had scrambled egg which was bland and not very good.
And the cereal my son had he took 3 mouthful and spat it out so gave it me to finish to which the milk was out of date so we asked the gentleman to change it as it's out to be rudely spoke to by saying 'no it's not, it smells fine' repeated three times until he changed it. To which after he came back and whispered softly 'it was out of date'. Once handing keys in the lady made no effort of conversation to my son who was trying to talk to her. She couldn't wait for us and the family before who left to go, And slammed door after we left. I would no recommend this place at all. I wouldn't stay again.
