Lovely old hotel, some areas could do with a touch up (during the off-season) although recent renovations were beautiful! Room was great, well decorated, bathroom was really well finished! Staff were absolutely lovely, very helpful. Food was excellent! Took me by surprise! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Afternoon tea was very well presented and a lot of thought had went into seating arrangements. Looking forward to staying here again

The last time I visited here was over 30 years ago. This time I was only able to stop by to sample the buffet breakfast, but it was so worth it. A large selection at a very reasonable price and delicious. My well behaved dog was also made very welcome. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly, and helpful. Even if you are not staying at the hotel, I highly recommend the breakfast, it will set you up for the day. I hope to come back and stay at the hotel properly one day soon.

Stayed overnight as part of West Highland Way. Short taxi ride from Kingshouse. Hotel is comfortable and well maintained. Rooms are well sized, good sized bath and all you can ask for. Staff were experienced, very helpful and eager to help. Evening meal was fantastic. The seafood menu is amazing, the specials were fantastic. High quality food and reasonable prices. Breakfast int he morning was a generous buffet style, perfect for refuelling ahead of the Devil's Staircase.

Excellent stay. Clean, modern, spacious room, all staff were friendly. Fantastic views out the windows with dinner and while relaxing in bed. I'd gladly (and hopefully will) stay again. Keep up the good work.

While this hotel has "character" it is not good character. From the staircase to dining room to common areas, this hotel is tired. The restaurant staff seems to care less about dining service. That said, the front desk staff was accommodating and pleasant. The bed was extremely hard and pillows thin.

Many hotels that are historic here in Scotland have a hot and cold sink which was tough to deal with. The food choices were amazing, especially the roast I had. Service is always amazing!

Appreciated how good their service was despite almost everywhere having staffing challenges. We were in a small tour group of mostly Americans and this hotel was very cool. Wish we could have stayed here a few more nights. Thank you for handling our group well all arriving at once!

Great hotel - good food and rooms and nice location. Only downside is that there was quite a bit of noise from in the night/morning because of old floors. But would definitely recommend still

Beautiful hotel, beautiful views, amazing food, and staff was absolutely welcoming and kind! Will definitely stay again, we all loved it! We stayed in a family room, and our 2 boys loved the bunk beds. The staff went out of their way to ask our kids how they were each time they saw us, really made them feel special. We had an amazing trip. Thank you Ballachulish Hotel!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Ballachulish Hotel. The staff couldn't have done more for us, and their warm and friendly disposition made the hotel feel like a home away from home. We stayed in one of the superior bedrooms which was large, decorated beautifully, and had stunning views directly over Loch Linnhe. The food was delicious, we ate in the hotel restaurant every night and were spoilt for choice as well as quality food. All in all we can't recommend this hotel enough!

One of Scotland’s hidden gems.fantastic hotel with warm friendly staff who can’t do enough to make your stay memorable.the food is great and reasonably priced.the Harry Potter staircase adds to the quirky feel of the place.its so dog friendly too and the open log fire is lovely. Yes the hotel is old but that just adds to the atmosphere.

Friendly staff lovely view from the lounge, we were able to take out small dog in which was great, we were in for drinks and staying nearby at riverview wee lodges. Within walking distances would recommend and would be happy to return
