Excellent bed and breakfast between town centre and main beaches. Friendly owner who cooks excellent breakfasts at flexible times with almost unlimited choice. Well furnished rooms with some available on ground floor and off road parking round the back. We had a great 3 night stay.

We have stayed at Dolvean House on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Even with the pandemic the high standards are maintained with extra safety measures in place to protect residents and staff. The location is ideal for us, with places of interest easily accessible and local restaurants within easy walking distance. Shaun and Renate are a wealth of knowledge about Cornwall and are always willing to give advice and tips on where to visit and eat etc. Rooms are very well maintained and very clean.

The owners work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and always making sure everything runs smoothly during your stay. Breakfast is always good with a good selection available.

A home from home, spotlessly clean with an outstanding breakfast. We always come back. You won't do better!

Wonderful hosts! Everywhere spotlessly clean. Great breakfast, plenty of choice even in the restrictions of Covid ( no buffet) Renates Bircher muesli is a must on the lovely freshly prepared fruit salad. Cooked breakfast piping hot & cooked to perfection. Excellent facilities in the room & an extremely comfortable bed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Val & Tim Greenfield 20th-27th June

Just stayed at the Dolvean House for a week and enjoyed every minute. Shawn and Renate are such friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble even supplying us with a fan as weather so hot. Breakfast was amazing too the choice was great and even made me a separate bowl fruit every morning without orange in it as I'm allergic. Its in an ideal location too only 5 mins down to the beach and 10 min walk into centre. Would definitely recommend this place and will stay here again when we get chance to visit this part of the world amazing!

Couldn't be better. Comfortable beds with good quality cotton sheets and towels. Whatever you wanted for breakfast and cooked well with no greasy fat. The homemade muesli is great and lots of fresh fruit. Comfortable lounge and honesty bar. What could be better.

A lovely guest house, a little bit uphill for the walker, but once you arrive there you are well taken care of. The rooms are very cosy and you can have one with a view towards the harbour. In this tranquil place you feel like one of the family. And when you get out of your bed in the morning, there is the prospect of a great breakfast!
