The hotel enjoys a privileged position in the centre of the village and our much-envied private car park, directly opposite the hotel, provides our guests with a convenient base from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. After enjoying one of our excellent breakfasts, you are ready to take a stroll down to Polperro's picturesque harbour, just a five minute walk from the hotel. Take a wander along its quaint streets and have a browse in the local independent shops, sample a Cornish cream tea or a traditional Cornish Pasty.

Sorry but cannot recommend this hotel, our dog was taken poorly in the early hrs and was rushed to a vet, we sent a video of him being ill in the room and he had contracted kennel cough the vet told us. We left a note apologising and did not ask for money back but could they help by giving us a smaller amount as a credit against a further stay No was the answer our terms and conditions clearly state blah blah.
They sold the room on after we left but no doubt there reply saying they didnt but we checked on 2 separate days several times and it said no availability, now they have a upset customer and being local will ensure everyone knows. All could of been avoided if they had just not been so greedy.

The best hotel to stay at in Polperro! Adults only & extremely dog friendly. The staff are fabulous, so helpful & couldn't do enough for us, especially Di who served us our breakfasts in the mornings. Lovely breakfast menu with a range of options to suit all tastes & appetites. Free parking too, which is rare in Polperro!

The hotel was excellent, the staff couldn't do enough for you, very covid friendly but well organised, the room was small but perfectly set out and very modern, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was first class, and offered a large variety, having parking across the road was brilliant. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Really nice family-run hotel with exceptionally friendly and pleasant staff. Comfortable and clean and liked that it was "adult only". Breakfast was exceptional, especially if you can get one of the tables out on the terrace, as the views are lovely. Having the car park across the road is an absolute triumph! (smugly watching others have their luggage bought up from the public car park by "luggage taxis" is a joy to some). Well situated for a 5 minute walk to the harbour. I would absolutely recommend and would stay there again (and hopefully, will)

We stayed for a mid-winter break. We've visited Polperro numerous times over the years but this was our first time staying at Claremont. What a lovely place! The decor was fresh and clean. There is a resident's lounge with a fancy coffee machine as well as tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. We had a room facing the town, spacious and comfy with enough room to move around in and store our things; reasonably sized bathroom.
Not all the places we've stayed in have this kind of space. The breakfast menu had choices to suit everyone; delicious food and comfy atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and answered all our questions. Most of the eating out places are closed in winter, so it's wise to check beforehand. I'd love to stay here again. Thank you!
